Personally...I've never, ever, ever needed any analogy for the inference to "Babylon". It's "us"..all of us.

Close.

We are her children. We are the 'harlots and abominations' she gave birth to...

Revelation 17:5 "And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."

Harlots = Female Gender
Abominations = Male Gender

It is *literal*.

To summarize, Mystery Babylon is the Biological Mother of the Human Race. Satan is the Biological Father. It all goes back to the Forbidden Fruit.

This is why we need a new Mom...

Galatians 4:26 "But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all."

New Earth = New Mom. Simple.

Matthew 23:35 "That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar."

*All* the righteous Blood from Abel to Zacharias. That is a lot of Blood.

The deeper meaning here is that the Blood of Abel to Zacharias are symbolized by the Blood of the Goat and Blood of the Bullock that are taken into the Heart of the Earth... aka... Most Holy Place to be sprinkled on the Ark.

These animals were slain between the Temple and the Altar to atone for sin.

Jesus is revealing something very special and important with the above verse.

Again, the Blood of Abel was symbolically sprinkled on the Ark of the Covenant...

Hebrews 12:24 "And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel."

Review...

Earth = Mother/Mystery Babylon
Earthly Jerusalem = Mystery Babylon's Womb
Tabernacles and Temples = Ovum in the Womb of Mystery Babylon
Temple Body = Zygote (You and I)
Golden Cup = Forbidden Fruit/Cup of Gethsemane

The Bible is all about *Salvation*... God Eugenics (Biology/DNA/Genomes, Etc.).

The Temples and Tabernacles in the Bible are scale models of Eukaryotic Cells. These are *animal* Cells, which Humans are made of...

On the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) said Temples switch roles and become a scale model of a Zygote...

Everything is a perfect match. This *not* a 'theory' or 'coincidence'. The Bible clearly teaches that we are the Temple. That starts at the Moment of Conception. The SINGLE CELL.

The High Priest represents the Holy Ghost as well as a Holy Genetic Engineer that goes all the way into the Nucleus (Most Holy Place) to fertilize the Egg using the Blood of Goats and Bullocks to represent Father and Mother.

The Scapegoat is a picture of the Child that is conceived and cast into the Wilderness of the Womb to grow and develop.

Note that the Israelites wandered the Wilderness for forty years as a picture of the forty weeks of pregnancy required to birth a Child.

God's Seed was retrieved from the 'Head' of Mount Sinai Phallus and was brought to his Wife the Israelites and the Ovum Temple.

God's Seed was then placed in the Ark of the Covenant as another picture of Fertilization. That is what the Covenant is all about.

Note also that the first time Moses came down with the Seed of the Father, it went to Hagar, the Egyptian Woman...

The second time Moses brought the Seed of the Father down, it went to Sarah.

Ok. Then why do you not understand that "Babylon" isn't a real "place"...no "location"? It is a metaphor taught in Seminary Studies for "us"...all of us.

WE...are the "Babylon". A metaphor, quite easy to interpret.

So put your map away....you won't find it.

Babylon is everywhere...we...are "Babylon", esoterically speaking....

God bless

What do people here think the "spiritistic practices" mentioned at Rev 18:23 is referring to? What are spiritistic practices? What is spiritism?

Spiritism (Insight on the Scriptures, Volume 2)

The belief or doctrine that the spirits of the human dead, surviving the death of the physical body, can and do communicate with the living, especially through a person (a medium) particularly susceptible to their influence. Both the Bible and secular history reveal that spiritism existed from very early times. Egypt’s religion was permeated with it. (Isa 19:3) And the religion of Babylon (which city was also the chief religious center for Assyria) was spiritistic.—Isa 47:12, 13.

The Greek word for “spiritism” is phar·ma·kiʹa. Vine’s Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words (1981, Vol. 4, pp. 51, 52) says of the word: “(Eng., pharmacy etc.) primarily signified the use of medicine, drugs, spells; then, poisoning; then, sorcery, Gal. 5:20, R.V., ‘sorcery’ (A.V., ‘witchcraft’), mentioned as one of ‘the works of the flesh.’ See also Rev. 9:21; 18:23. In the Sept[uagint], Ex. 7:11, 22; 8:7, 18; Isa. 47:9, 12. In sorcery, the use of drugs, whether simple or potent, was generally accompanied by incantations and appeals to occult powers, with the provision of various charms, amulets, etc., professedly designed to keep the applicant or patient from the attention and power of demons, but actually to impress the applicant with the mysterious resources and powers of the sorcerer.”

Its Source. A major feature of spiritism is claimed communication with the dead. Since the dead “are conscious of nothing at all,” communication with such dead persons is actually impossible. (Ec 9:5) God’s law to Israel forbade anyone’s inquiring of the dead and made the practice of spiritism a capital offense. (Le 19:31; 20:6, 27; De 18:9-12; compare Isa 8:19.) And in the Christian Greek Scriptures the statement is made that those who practice spiritism “will not inherit God’s kingdom.” (Ga 5:20, 21; Re 21:8) It, therefore, logically follows that any claimed communication with dead persons, if not a deliberate lie on the part of the claimant, must be from an evil source, a source that stands in opposition to Jehovah God.

The Bible clearly indicates that wicked spirits, demons, are this evil source. (See DEMON; DEMON POSSESSION.) ...

In 1998 a book explaining how to contact the dead became so popular in the United States that it quickly reached the top of the New York Times best-seller list.

A few years ago in Moscow, psychics and spiritistic séances became the rage with politicians and businessmen, who paid high prices for consultations.

In Brazil, television soap operas featuring spiritism draw large numbers of viewers.

For many people living in Africa or Asia, practicing spiritism is as common as bartering in the marketplace.

One reason why millions of people have turned to spiritism is that they have been taught that spiritism is, as one expert in this field described it, “a supplementary religion” that stands “alongside Christianity.” The religious situation in Brazil is a case in point.

Brazil has the largest Roman Catholic population on earth, but as author Sol Biderman puts it, “millions of the faithful light candles at more than one altar and feel [that there is] no discrepancy whatsoever.” In fact, Brazil’s newsweekly Veja reported that 80 percent of those who frequent spiritistic centers in Brazil are baptized Catholics who attend Mass as well. Add to this the fact that even some clergymen participate in spiritistic gatherings, and one can see why many believers think that getting in touch with spirits for comfort and guidance is approved by God. But is it?

No, the Bible lists the “practice of spiritism” with the other “works of the flesh” that are directly opposed to Christian qualities.—Galatians 5:19-21.

The practice of spiritism may consist of consulting a spirit medium, inquiring of the dead, or looking for omens. One popular form of spiritism is divination—attempting to find out about the future or the unknown with the help of spirits. Some forms of divination are astrology, crystal-ball gazing, interpretation of dreams, palmistry, and fortune-telling with the help of tarot cards.

Thanks for commenting FlyersFan. You are on the right track.

Earthly Jerusalem represents the Womb of Hagar that gives birth to children of bondage. All of us as we exist now are her children...

Galatians 4:24 (New International Version)
"These things are being taken figuratively: The women represent two covenants. One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children who are to be slaves: This is Hagar."

It is the bearing of children that is important here. Again, Earthly Jerusalem is the Womb of Hagar...

Galatians 4:25 (New International Version)
"Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children."

Thus, Earth represents the Earthly Mother. Earthly Jerusalem represents her Womb.

Mystery Babylon is simply the 'catchall' phrase for the Earthly Mother. Hagar is an Earthly Mother. Sarah is the Heavenly Mother.

What do people here think the "spiritistic practices" mentioned at Rev 18:23 is referring to?

You miss the point of Revelation 18:3 entirely...

Revelation 18:23 (KJV)
"And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived."

Bridegroom = Male Seed
Bride = Female Seed

The 'marriage' between the two is Conception. The verse is speaking of Mystery Babylon no longer being able to bear Children.

The Marriage Supper of the Lamb is a similar theme. It is about conception and becoming Born Again literally.

Lamb = Abraham's Seed
Bride = New Jerusalem/Womb of Sarah

As far as the 'sorceries' mentioned in the above verse, that has to do with Transhumanism... aka... The Mark of the Beast.

When the Womb of Mystery Babylon (Bottomless Pit) begins to birth abominations with 'sorceries', God will end this timeline.
