"Our intent is not to strike. Our intent is to get a fair agreement. That’s been our intent from Day One."

In a FREE COUNTRY......

Well , Or at Least for Evermore as Intended by Our Founders . If it was not for them , Unions would have NEVER Existed in Our United States Of America . I would Hope the Unions REMEMBER That........

work 7 days a week, and buy our own uniforms

not all. the union i am in, one of the union B.A's and me got into an political argument and he stated to 60% of our union doesnt vote the way they tell them too. I told him we are the majority then and the union needs to follow the membership. i am sure the number is higher now. Other construction unions, majority of them seem to follow what the union says.

I honestly think the board is overthinking this. In my humble opinion, it comes to the basic philosophy of both sides.

Right wingers / Conservatives - About the individual over the group
Left wingers / Liberals - About the group over the individual

Unions are all about the group. Even when the group contains employees who should probably be fired. Group > Individual so they support the left. I honestly don't think it's anymore complicated than that.

This is a good overview, but missing one thing.
When the right goes for individualism, it generally includes making it on their own, paying their own way.
When the left goes for groupthink and communism, it generally runs on successful individuals paying for most of the group.
Unless it’s fully realized communism, then everybody gets an equal pittance, and the leaders live like kings and queens. Worse than a royal family or oligarchy.

The pity is you probably believe this with blinders on.
Bless your little heart.
Competition today requires reasonable pay and benefits to compete in your sector. Unless of course your plan is to import millions of illiterate starving immigrants who will happily work for a buck an hour, and let you traffic their children.

Union workers dont like him
Union politicians do

Union workers didn’t like Obama either he destroyed their healthcare benefits

Union Employees don't vote based on their Union's recommendation?

Uh
Most frontline union employees don’t do what anyone tells them
Its why the union is important
They defend you when the man wants you to do unsafe crap

Do they follow the unions recommendations for votes, in the industrial sector i say nope.
The teachers probably do tho

You're right about how loyal teachers are to their union(s). Church members often vote based on who the Pastor recommends too.

I think the union top dogs are the democrats but I don’t know how the employees break down voting wise.
Mostly because the dems are pro union and the biggest concern of any union is it’s continued existence and not the people it claims to be protecting.

What does Biden tell the Union workers to make them call off striking, like the Railroad workers did last year? He took credit, but didn't spell out what he told them.

if its like the uk then its a tribal relationship that's probably no longer reflective of the world in which the tribalism was born.

it feels the left are now less workers and unions and now more about ngos.

NGOS?

Unions forcibly take money from members, give half to the dems, half to the union big wheels. Dems write legislation to grow unions and protect them in every scenario. Pretty basic stuff.
Every now and then the union may do something for the members, but only if it makes money or grows their power.

Thank-you. Union Bosses get money from both Union dues and Democrat administrations? That's wild. This group of public employees in Indiana opted out of the Union 3 years ago. I wonder if the employees are happier now?

Because birds of a feather flock together

OR!

Because they're all criminals in alliance going back to at least Nov 22 1963.

I remember reading about Unions and the Mob years ago. Jimmy Hoffa was a big name at the time.

" LABOR DAY Question - Why Are Most Unions Pro-Democrat -and- Pro-Biden?. "

Because the Heads of those Unions are Paid Off Handsomely for their Support with Federal Bribe Money . .

I remember President Trump bragging about how so many Unions supported HIM, instead of HILLARY, in 2016.

Hillary is a Democrat...and crooked. Seems like the Unions would have flocked to her like flies to a piece of poop.

In regards to numbers?
Big difference between union members (Trump) and the crooks who run the unions (Hillary).

And the members don't have to be greased.

Speculative

Trump garnered a lot of union support from members, not so much the leadership. It was mainly because he ran on bringing jobs back to the US. The teachers union though is solidly democrat.

I think that lines up perfectly with why the unions support the left though. The group is taken care of by folks who collect money from everyone ("union dues/fees") and everyone gets their share during a strike, etc. Problem is the hard-working guy who gets an excellent job review, gets the same raise as the guy who dog-f**ks the day away.

President Biden really knows how to set himself up..

President Joe Biden used his Labor Day address to attack his predecessor, Donald Trump, by claiming that the famed real estate mogul “didn’t build a damn thing.”
More at: www.breitbart.com...

Imagine what all he can be accused of not doing, as a professional politician for 47 years.

Joined AFM, local 5...1968... Bunch of AFSCME-, PPAN, Medical unions...looking at what you said, even now I think you're right.

In music, it was the thing req to play Union places, bars, weddings in 60s-70's. Later years AFSCME...auto industry n others held the standard for contract wage, benefits, accruments..

In support of your thread here..as a teen...even in my 60's..now I'm thinking it's "image" in my head at least...was a bunch of identically blue suited guys making (contract negotiations)...You know? For the "common good for all us brothers and sisters"... of course w dues funneled off in a variety of ways called "creative financing".

It does quite resemble the donkey. Thnx CWM

I thought Communism kept everyone's income low. Union workers seem to do quite well in most trades.

Do a little research. Unions have been associated with Communism since their inception. It's about
collectivism".
