Post songs that you find mysterious in one way or another.


I love this song because it reminds me of the afterlife.

And I believe there is an afterlife - I also believe that we sometimes time travel in our dreams.

Sometimes when we sleep we leave our bodies.

I've always found this song to be kind of dark...

Carl Orff's O Fortuna , its sound has an air of mystery to my ears and it always elicits an emotional response whenever I hear it , tears normally , perhaps it's its beauty or maybe I'm just soft like that I don't know , it's a mystery.

i like the idea that in our dreams we materialize in other dimensions and worlds. that we are perceived there by others in their reality and possibly even have relationships. anyway, a great song that i have never heard before. thanks!

The 10cc album Deceptive Bends, with “the things we do for love”.
I listened to that album a lot one night, then went to bed. Next morning my dad was dead and gone. The record still sitting there on the record player (shows my age lol).
Couldn’t listen to that song for the longest time. Comes on the radio, turn it off. Just gave me the worst feeling to hear it. I guess it’s dulled a little with time (46 years ago, wow), but I still don’t listen to it.
Some other odd things about when he died - we actually had the bird flying into the window thing, a day or two before.
I had taken the SAT test earlier in the week. I was trying to explain to him some things in the test, like the analogies in the English portion. The one word I remembered was “moribund”, which of course means near death. I actually wrote out the way the question looks on a piece of paper, including that word, then found it a couple days later. A very chilling little experience.
These things definitely piqued my interest in the unknown.

That said, Orbison's 'Leah' would have to be one of the most haunting songs I've ever heard. He was fantastic, and only recorded one song he never should have sang; Love Hurts. Absolutely horrible! lol Nazareth did a remake that gave it the life and fame it deserved.

Stairway to heaven is another song one can easily get lost in.

Another haunting song....


'Laura' is my eldest child's first name, so this was always a bit haunting.
