So, what caused the surge in wheat prices?
To answer this question, we must follow the money. The global grain market operates as an oligopoly, with the four largest grain traders – Archer-Daniels-Midland, Bunge (which recently merged with Viterra), Cargill, and Louis Dreyfus – controlling more than 70pc of the market and Glencore accounting for another 10pc.
The Myth of Global Grain Shortages
In the early stages of the Ukraine war, especially between March and June 2022, the Big Four grain traders reaped record profits and revenues. Cargill's annual revenues were up 23pc, to 165 billion dollars, while Louis Dreyfus's profits soared by 80pc. These gains reflected price hikes not aligned with real-world demand and supply dynamics.
To be a fly on the wall of Davos, CFR, TLC, Bilderberg, and the Bohemian Grove over the past several decade, as this plan was formed following their last failure for a global empire.

One starts to wonder if they knew ahead that Russia would attack Ukraine

I was looking at several newspapers relating to the famine in Tigray and happened to come across this piece. Once again it appears that several major grain players are using the Russia -Ukraine war of exploiting the price of grain throughout the world as these four behemoth's control 70% of all wheat.

So why is it that the Biden administration does nothing as it affects all within the USA relating to meat, bread, restaurant and food in general. So the planned purge of the undesirables continues according to Hillary nation?
It never ends does it

Louis Dreyfus as in Julia Louise Dreyfus? I ask as I recall reading back in the 90s that Julia was the heir to a billionaire. I never dug into it, but it popped into my head reading the OP.
Born in France in 1932, Gérard C. Louis-Dreyfus grew up in Paris before moving to America when his parents divorced. His father, Pierre Louis-Dreyfus, who worked for the family’s agriculture processing giant Louis Dreyfus Group, was also a part of the French Resistance in World War II. His mother was the American-born daughter of a Brazilian father and a Mexican mother.
He was a billionaire businessman who started his career as a lawyer, working for a New York City law firm after graduating from Duke University’s School of Law. He then went on to serve as the chairman of Louis Dreyfus Energy Services.

Looks like it is a family business and she's the billionaires daughter.

Who was William Louis-Dreyfus?

It sounds as if you think the US President--whoever that happens to be--has the unilateral power to control grain prices globally. I wonder why you would think that?
The reason that grain traders made big profits between March and June 2022, is because as soon as Russia invaded Ukraine, the Black Sea became a war zone, maritime insurance went through the roof, and Ukrainian shipping stopped, for all practical purposes. About 10-15% of the world's wheat, barley, and corn supply was exported from Ukraine through the Black Sea, so that amount of the world's supply was off line until about August of 2022, when Russia agreed to allow some Ukrainian ships to pass. Because grain is a commodity traded internationally, the reduced supply caused prices to go up around the world. It's called supply and demand--you know, Capitalism.
What, exactly do you want the US President to do? Seize the assets of Archer Daniels Midland and Cargill? That would be Communism, wouldn't it?
Seriously, how about you explain in a few sentences exactly what the current President should do?
At the moment, Vladimir Putin has much more power to control international wheat prices than the US President does.
