They don't want human trafficking to be a strike.

Another thing CA Senate is debating is that sentences must consider the race of the convicted.

The bill is back up to read. Trafficking is 1 of 43 offenses in the bill that they want a strike system applied to. How do you know it wasn't one, or more, of the other 42 that they object to?

I don't know, neither do you. All we know is that they want some parts of the bill revised. There was a lot of the stuff in the bill that had nothing to do with trafficking. I was able to view it earlier, and it's pretty lengthy, but now it's down. Maybe changes are already being made?

Don't you find it strange it's the democrats who block these bills and it's the democrats who vote and legislate for a number of strange laws that normal-rational people will reject without much thought. Another example it's when democrats allow transwomen to take part in female sports. The republicans usually block these bills or legislate for the opposite.

That's the problem with bundling them.

Same as line item veto's.

If they had any decency that would be a deal breaker for all the rest unless they removed human trafficking from the list they don't want to count against a 3 strikes law. IT SHOULD BE A STRIKE!

I am truly baffled at some of the things people defend or at least treat lightly:

drugs in the WH-hey, no big deal, everyone's doing it
gender dysphoria/child mutilation/drugs
light sentences for child traffickers, calling it a Qanon kook conspiracy
forced medical experiments on folks
the murder of innocents in the womb
promiscuity

Its has been my experience that the people who most vehemently object to a law are the ones most likely to be charged with it. If you enjoy it or profit by it, it is unlikely you want to see it made illegal or worse, a 3 strike law. IMO child trafficking should be all 3 strikes by itself but thats just me.

Dems are the ones who want pornography in elementary school libraries. Republicans think it is a disgusting perversion of our youth. Dems are the ones who think transtesticles with scanty outfits should dance and gyrate in front of 5 year olds. Republicans consider this a disgusting perversion of our youth and an assault on innocence. But, while dems will fire a teacher who has posted sexy pics of herself on her own social media page, because she is demonstrating the wrong values for our children, they applaud a fat guy in makeup and a dress twerking in a child's face. Dems are the ones insisting there is no problem at the southern border and we should be grateful that so many people want to live in America. Of course, it is also the gateway for child trafficking which has been clearly demonstrated on multiple occasions, but lets just ignore that inconvenient truth...

Typically it is republicans who oppose the open border catch and release program this administration seems to embrace. In general it is republicans who despise this sort of ridiculous hogwash in our schools and our country in general. So whatever you do, make sure republicans lose every election or they may start bringing this kind of common sense and decency to a neighborhood near you!!!

To supplement your thoughts, it could be because they don't believe there is anything wrong with the given offense or believe it's a minor issue.

People forget that California is the land of Hollywood, the pedo capital of the state.
