Were we too close to the mark? I wouldn’t have thought that was the sort of thread that got closed down, I’m confused why it’s gone 🤷🏼‍♂️

I think it's about the author of the OP not the content.

OK, let's start a new one and get into the real nitty-gritty again.

It's because if we have souls then when we die we will look for familiarity, if we're too connected to this material realm then escaping it will be nigh impossible, only Christ can help you with escaping this material hell.

Thanks for the post, but I respectfully disagree 👍🏻

Quantum mechanics tell us that matter is energy. Every point of that energy connected, unified and in constant communication with every single other point of energy in space and time. Buddhist have been saying that since 500BC. But its nice to have science confirm that fact.

Thus the nature of reality be our nature.

I was always told you should judge a thread by its content, not the author.

Some cases warrant an exception to that rule, and I'm confident mods have the tools to keep track of those exceptions...

Reality got bitten by the deletion of a popular new thread and there is no real evidence of why.

Closing the thread would have given us a heads up but "poof"....gone.

I’ve posted in a few threads lately. Then, poof, thread gone!

Not even a sign of my posts in my posting history.

One was a thread about the Canadian wild fires. A fairly benign topic.

I didn't want to watch the whole movie so I looked for a summary of it from Wikipedia. Did you know it got bad reviews? Is that the true psychology and/or sentiments of society regarding virtual reality being our true existence? If so, then nothing discussed on this thread would open our minds to VR being the true reality. Just saying.

The Thirteenth Floor received mostly negative reviews. Rotten Tomatoes, a review aggregator, reported that 30% of critics gave the film positive reviews, with an average score of 4.51/10, based upon a sample of 64 reviews,[6] and the critical consensus "Bad script and confusing plot undermine the movie's impressive visuals." At Metacritic, the film received an average score of 36/100, based on 22 reviews.[7] Audiences polled by CinemaScore gave the film an average grade of "D+" on an A+ to F scale.[8]

That rabbit hole may go a lot deeper than you think.......

We don't discuss why threads are trashed unless it's your thread and you ask privately. That's for all mod actions.

I can certify that there is no "too close to the mark" protocol for deleting threads. It's just mundane rules.

Simulation theory is in the mainstream consciousness at this point. There are other threads on it. I'm in a thread that involves it currently.

But, kinda answered and thread closed.
