Pharmacutical shortages and food shortages

He had a high temperature,and a bit of a chest cold for a week. I actually had a basic medical training years ago, and just thought back and remembered a lecture where , simple viral colds weaken the tissue and then normal bacteria which under other circumstances are not much of a problem overwhelm the system.The Doc probably thought he had a simple chest cold, but it was developing into what looked to me like a chronic infection.
