UFO Sighting Above the Fraser River Four Years Ago

I was researching a subject for a different thread I'm working on and came across a UFO video that has 20 views and was posted 4 years ago. The video is only a minute long but, it does show the UFO in original time, slow motion, and close up.

The young man posting the video says this:

  • His dad recorded the video
  • It's too big to be a drone (dad says)
  • It's too small to fit a human inside (dad says)

His dad works in helicopter, on the radio, someplace called Danger on Air. His dad is the one who recorded the video.

The Video is titled: UFO sighting just Above the fraser river in richmond, just west of the massey tunnel at 1000 feet!

I know that many here are interested in this phenomenon, so I decided to post it to see what your thoughts are.

It only has one comment under it. Someone stating it is a jet. I don't know...maybe. But you'd think his dad would know that it wasn't a jet because he works in, as the kid puts it, "helicopter". And, his dad stated it was too small to have a human inside.

Maybe it's been posted before, I'm not sure. But, it's pretty clear footage so I thought maybe the UFO pros here could take a look.

    Thanks!

Pretty strange why he would pan away from the UFO.
And the video quality is pretty bad perhaps bad compression ?
Is the original footage more clear ?
    Thanks for sharing this.
All in all this is a UFO.

Dang, I thought the footage was pretty good as far as UFO's go..lol. Maybe I haven't looked at enough videos though.

I do know that Richmond is near one of our US air force bases. I think there is one in Tacoma or Seattle. But I would imagine that someone who works in "helicopter" would be able to identify a plane. Maybe not, but I would think they would.

Thanks for the comment/feedback. Much appreciated.

    Unidentified, yes
    Flying, yes
    Object, yes

    Beyond that it’s anyone’s guess.

If it was that intriguing to the pilot, why didn’t they fly over to it?

Could be..I dunno. I just came across it while researching something else, saw it didn't have many views, and then posted it here with a short synopsis thinking that it might hold interest for some members. I have no idea if it's a bird, bug, or UFO.

But I know you guys will figure it out!

True to the acronym….it’s a UFO.

Imo…..it’s too high in altitude to be a bug like a large bug like a bumblebee, dragonfly, etc. It’s at some distance from the aircraft. It fly’s in a straight line trajectory unlike bugs ….for quite a few seconds and not spooked by the aircraft to veer away from it.

    For insects….

Highest altitude — Some butterflies have been observed flying at altitudes up to 20,000 feet. Largest wings, modern — Wingspans of some butterflies and moths are the largest of all modern insects. Largest wings, extinct — The wingspans of fossil dragonflies, existing millions of years ago, were more than two feet.

The object doesn’t exhibit the erratic flutter flying of a butterfly.

    That’s my 3 cent’s.
