This movie has always had an impact on my life after I seen it in our city movie theater for 50 cents .

Does this bring back memories. In your country you might not be able to watch it Disney Movie.

Old Yeller is classic.
But I'm still trying to find and watch the true first anime in history.
Priorities.

Does Old Yeller have an anime version, I wonder?

Do you know how many messages...sublimal, sexual in your face symbolism pedo too...in Disney classics? We never knew.

Look up (yt) on hidden Disney messages. OMG.*

No we cannot. You know as well as I do how the entire thing would be twisted into the typical abomination they make now. Unless, of course, Sylvester Stallone is involved.

Funny, I just thinking about all the "boy and his dog" movies and books they used to make:

Old Yeller
Savage Sam
Sounder
Where the Red Fern Grows
etc.

Natural and Real, with lessons about life and love.

Now, it seems that if a dog is in a movie, it's a comedy, a cartoon, or the dog is talking. I guess realism is considered too boring.

I cannot watch most of the new stuff coming out in the box office as it is childish or way to much CGI for My brain to deal with , I am lucky if I watch 2 or 3 movies a year now but when you study how many movies are being churned out per year by those companies it is mind blowing and that's just in the English language.

We must be around the same age MM as Tarzan was a great favourite of mine as a kid as was laurel and Hardy kids these days don't know they are alive when I was young was lucky to be able to watch a television it was called the devil box in the corner , It got turned on for he wrestling on a Saturday and the movie they used to show later on ànd the news later at night then off when the 3 channels we had shut down at 10.30 pm
: everyone went to bed then .

When we first went into covid lock down I watched Metropolis again and loved it , but I do not think I have turned my home computer on since to watch a movie

Oddly enough, the other day, I recalled for no reason, the series "Gentle Ben". Seems like there were a few series / movies about friendly animals back then.

Cheers
