I have a theory about this book banning going on.
Out of curiosity I did look up a few of these books and fully agree that they shouldn't be in early schools.
Now this is were my spider senses start buzzing.
We all know the push from the right to move kids from public schools to private.
Now what if these books are part of a plot and purposely put into public schools with the intent of banning them and making parents scared about what teachers are teaching in school?
Honestly that wouldn't surprise me.
A false flag if you will. They obviously have an agenda just as everyone else. But how convenient the timing in this......hmmm

I don't agree with the cultural Marxism statement but the rest is 100% spot on. I tihnk he'll win on a landslide.

It's a very important debate to be had and good to see he has the balls to announce it - hopefully he isn't cancelled by companies.

As society evolves and reaches toward equality certain issues are going to overstep the mark as acceptance goes too far into wokeism or social promotion. There has to e a pushback against this to reach a functional society.

Certain issues like sexualisation of children and trans people preying online to groom autistic people to become trans have clearly gone too far.

Some of the attacks on wokism have also gone too far such as banning the statue of David as his flacid penis is seen as porn rather than a clasic work of art.

Since "woke" is not "normal", it will go away due to being ignored.

Imo...DeSantis verbally displays a hate streak in his campaign speeches --- And his reported military service time in Gitmo, visually displays his hate streak.

It probably would except the pushback is talked about non stop on everything considered to the right.
They are the ones shoving it down your throat all while telling you it's others.
And you all fall for it and give them views and clicks just as they want.
They do not want you to ignore it. You should be aware of this.
Clearly Noone here is ignoring it so the tactic works.
Just be aware

What 'sanity' are you proposing to return to? A corrupt government owned by corporations and individuals? An out of control MIC which has two arms, democrats and republicans? Alphabet agencies who control the narrative on MSM and social media.

All the madness that we see around us with the 'woke agenda is purposely driven to create division and distract us from the real malaise that infects society, which is corruption.

He has far more charisma than Joetato and speaks more intelligently than Trump

He will do fine.

Trump is already a loser. They beat him like a red-headed step child. Sure, he fought back, badly, and lost control of his presidency and lost the election.

I am watching DeSantis as well, he's my governor. To be honest, I am watching Kennedy as well, because I am an independent voter myself. I voted Trump twice and lost once and learned something very important for the next election. If Trump is the nominated GOP candidate, then we get Biden 4 more years. Makes me ill that thought.

I agree. Trump has already lost once to Biden. He will lose again.

And you've never seen this hate streak in Joe? I have.

How do you feel about Tim Scott? He is always smiling and he has such a positive outlook!

" Disney to Invest $17B in Fla. Despite DeSantis Feud "

" Disney also filed a lawsuit in April, accusing DeSantis and the CFTOD of carrying out a campaign of political retribution, according to CNN.

"We never wanted, and we certainly never expected, to be in the position of having to defend our business interests in federal court, particularly having such a terrific relationship with the state as we've had for more than 50 years," Iger said this month."

DeSantis in Response Insinuates that Mr. Trump is taking Disney's Side in this Feud . What A Wuess.........

What does DISNEY Know that Gov. DeSantis Does Not ? Answer , DeSantis has no " Teeth " in his Gubernatorial Powers to Stop DISNEY at All in Anything . This Whole Controversy Between them is Nothing More than " Political Theater " . DISNEY is on a Mission to DESTROY Your Innocent Children with it's Corporate Perversions . DeSantis is Helpless to Stop them , and this Man Wants to be President ? ............Hmm...........

Yep.
It’s how you get elected now.
In this case low energy and low information.
Too much information invites scrutiny.

Of course the opposite of woke, is asleep.

You just described Joe's hide-in-the-basement campaign strategy to a T.
And you're right it works.
At least for democrats.

DeSantis really is riding that wave of anti-wokeness. Probably the only thing he has going for him. Not sure half the country will vote for him just because he's taken the side of being anti-woke.

How about we talk about improving the economy, getting out of conflicts and perpetual war, removing lobbying and corporate influence from politics, removing corruption, bettering the enviornment and improving American job security.

No, Lets just talk about the easiest thing possible. Wokeness. Because that stirs people up and you don't actually have to provide any solutions to serious problems.

Or in other words, more political posturing from a candidate that doesn't have any real value or change to offer.

Exactly, he's you're typical politician that uses wedge issues and buzz words to gain attention and popularity without actually providing any strategy for real change.

Like why aren't we aiming to elect intelligent politicians like Ron Paul (well probably too old now), Bernie Sanders, Tulsi Gabbard, ect.. who would really want make positive changes and have solid ideas on how to do so.

Instead we always seem to migrate to some billionaire politician who just says the phrases people want to hear and never actually plans to change anything. (Like Biden for example)
