Well well so I never thought I would see a story like this! So who, what and why? Is it that the boys and gals over at the CIA need to steer the country back to center? So they whispered into the AG's ear as Biden's only biding his time? Or is it because the British Are Coming er, I mean The Republicans are Coming?

I don't know so lets roll out the dough or at least the dirt as there is something more to this. Could it be that President Trump has a copy of Epstein's books, papers and other memo Belia?

But the case may never reach a jury if Garland’s Justice Department has its way. Recall that Garland has thus far continued Trump’s DOJ tactic of seeking to substitute the federal government as the defendant for Trump in Carroll’s suit. If successful, that would essentially end the lawsuit, as under a law known as the Westfall Act, government officials are immune from suits for actions undertaken in their official capacity.

The defamatory statements at issue in the case were made when Trump was still serving as president. Then-Attorney General Bill Barr invoked the Westfall Act at the behest of the White House after first removing the case from New York state court to federal court.

Such an action by Barr and the Trump White House is hardly surprising. But Garland’s decision to follow Barr’s lead was surprising.

There are many MANY things in regards to Trump and his connections to Epstein that the media won't report on.
And honestly I am pretty sure Epstein entrusted Trump with a backup for political blackmail.
In regards to the rape allegations.....too much time has passed. So getting a real answer is extremely hard to come by.

Well his past and current behavior towards women don't put Trump in a good light.
Viewing woman as objects and going in dressing rooms with no remorse. Talking about how he will just grab them by something. Pointing out women to Epstein for who knows what.

Not saying I think he did or did not do what is claimed, just pointing out his behavior indicates he fits the profile of someone that would do such a thing.

That question alone tells me how you view this.
I try not to side with politicians when it comes to things like this.
Especially when that person is personally friends with known child abusers. And also when a person knowingly puts some in a position of power that gave a very VERY cushy deal to known abusers.
Trump did all that.

That's what I am thinking. Could it be that that's why the FBI busted into Trumps Mar A Largo looking for the Epstein materials and that the "classified" materials was a BS front story as the back story was the Epstein documentation?

Thus the Merrick Garland 180 degree turn around on Trump and thus this thread

Caroll has amended her lawsuit to include the comments Trump made during CNN's town hall. The DOJ submitted a filing today that more or less indicated the Westfall Act may no longer apply depending on the court's decision regarding the amendment.

If the town hall comments now become the operative complaint, that would have occurred after Trump was an employee of the US government. Meaning he would not be covered by the Westfall Act.

The DOJ has requested a postponement on scheduling of the case, which is currently scheduled to occur on June 21, until after the matter of the amendment is decided. At which point, they propose, all parties can meet to discuss a path forward.
