Is Xi Jinping a closet Chinese nationalist?

Everyone has seen how Xi Jinping lavishly praises Mao Zedong's role in Chinese history and downplays the Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution's harmful damage to Chinese society despite the fact that his father was sent to a labor camp during the Cultural Revolution. What's worrying is that Xi's persecution and detention of Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang, including forcing the Uyghurs to assimilate into mainstream Chinese culture and vandalizing mosques at which the Uyghur Muslims have historically prayed, gives me a feeling that Xi Jinping, despite being proud that his country stood up to Japanese cruelty towards Chinese, Korean, and Filipino civilians in World War II, is behaving like a Chinese nationalist by trying to impose Chinese cultural values upon the Uyghurs just because he insists that detaining the Uyghurs in labor camps is necessary to forestall the prospect of Uyghur Muslims following in the footsteps of al-Qaeda. What percentage of Americans say that Xi Jinping's efforts to assimilate the Uyghurs into mainstream Chinese culture make him a Chinese nationalist, not to mention that Chinese dissidents criticize the Chinese government's abysmal treatment of non-Han Chinese people contravenes the need for people to respect others stressed by Confucius.

Usually a Dictator is a Dictator and their "politics" are whatever they need to be to keep them in power.

Mao, Stalin, Adolf, Franco, Saddam, Castro.... Doesn't matter the ideology as long as they remain in power.

Good lord, has anybody let the Chinese people know that they have a Chinese nationalist running their country?

This is obviously an enormous threat to world security.

It's a shame that our POTUS and so many of our politicians make all kinds of money on China. It's probably why the US arrested the most prominent dissident to the CCP regime while also trying to make him appear tied to the CCP to the ignorant masses.

Hey now!
Don't interrupt the establishment while it attempts to manufacturer consent.
