I don't understand what you posted but a clever metaphor will always be a clever metaphor, even if it goes over the heads of those with their heads in the sand or in the clouds or up their Ass.

YEs its a great place to discuss stuff,but some people you try to do that with do not want to hear your side of the story and if you do not agree shut down and dismiss your view. A discussion takes more than 1 person. Thats a lecture when its 1 person.

I see what you're saying and I apologize.
I have a big problem understanding the subjective world view.
I mean, I understand subjectiveness, I just don't understand how some people let their feelings override objective reality.
Don't get me wrong, I can and do get emotional.
Yet, I understand that my emotions can not change objective reality.

I try my best not to go into ANY topic if I haven't researched it and understand it.
There are people here that just say what they feel about a topic.
No research, no understanding, just what they feel.
You can not discuss topics with these people, not beneficially anyway.
That's why I say the discussion should be based in reality and denying ignorance.

What was once a social requirement has become a lost art.

Things are changing, now we got an environment charged with opposing views due to current events.

Once in a while this type of situations arises and people tend to lose themselves in their believes of what is right or wrong.

Add the propaganda inundating the internet to steer opinions and things get hard to debate.
