Prigozhin escalated the feud today with the Kremlin and the Russian military and called them liars on his social media accounts. On one of Russian biggest holidays, Victory Day, as Putin celebrates the victory over Nazi forces in WW2, Prigozhin is screaming from Bakhmut about Russia not deserving victory parades at all, because they are losing the war in real time.

“Today [Tuesday], one of the units of the Ministry of Defense fled from one of our flanks, abandoning their positions. They all fled and left a front nearly two kilometers wide and 500 meters deep. Good thing we blocked it somehow,” Prigozhin said.

Prigozhin went on to say his fighters would be able to take the city if they were supplied with enough ammunition — but that Moscow had backtracked from its initial promises.

“We were promised on May 7 that we would be given ammunition,” he explained.

In the morning of May 8, Prigozhin said that Moscow gave an order to provide Wagner with “everything” they wanted. However, they were subsequently only provided with “10% of what was requested,” he claimed.

"We were simply blatantly lied to,” Prigozhin said.

If he is even close to telling the truth, then he was only sent 10% of the weapons he was promised in order to sustain the fight for Bakhmut. Without that ammo, those shells and the replacement weaponry, Wagner forces are as good as dead if they don't retreat. And Putin knows this. So why is there no aid?

Is Putin sacrificing Prigozhin and his army of convicts? It would make sense if he were. They have not proven themselves to be good fighters, most of them are untrained prisoners... and let's be honest, they probably did most of the raping in Ukraine after being locked up for years or decades. Not a great loss for Putin. Also, he eliminates a potential enemy with a private army that could eventually march on Moscow.

IF... and this is a big if... if he can replace all the Wagner forces with the regular military, then this plan makes sense. Which means declaring war and opening up for a wider mobilization in Russia.

That he has been lied to by the MOD should came as no surprise, Putin has been lied to since day one.

I read earlier that Prigozhin has been warned if he pulls his troops out it would be seen as treason , it remains to be seen how long it takes for this internal conflict to spark into something bigger.

I wonder if this isn't a psyop to suck Ukrainian forces and leadership and the west into thinking that the Russian forces are depleted when they actually are not.

For weeks before Russia invaded Ukraine they were saying that that were not going to invade. Precisely the morning of the day that they invaded I came across a news article that reported Vlad disavowing any invasion plans. I actually opened a thread here essentially saying, See, they're not invading!, and within hours they were indeed invading. That thread was 404'd.

Maybe this is all true, but I'd give equal possibility of being a smokescreen.

Is it possible (likely?) that the 10% delivered is all that is available to deliver?

With the "mysterious explosions" going off within Russia, and the curiously "old" equipment utilized by Russia throughout this campaign, even in the face of unexpectedly effective Ukrainian resistance, is it possible that the "dregs" of the Russian arms barrel have already been drained?

Was the depiction of the mighty Russian military just a "Potemkin Village" all along?

I reckon its partly BS at least.
Putin and Prigozhin are/were friends and Putin even used to eat food prepared by the Wagner boss..
And lets be honest neither of them give a crap about the prisoners they have been using for cannon food.

These public announcements railing aginst Putin gives the impression of factions/infighting which the western media lap up,but that may be far from reality.

Putin was KGB,so disinfo techniques are hard wired into him.

Policy and plans exist on paper and can be secreted from view.

The men and materiel needed to conduct a military operation must first be massed, in some form, adjacent to the expected theater of battle.

Such concentrations are not effectively hidden from view, and are the subject of close surveillance by interested parties.

If a large shipment of materiel was to be delivered to a specific location, its delivery would have been noted; if for no other reason than to attempt its interdiction.

Yet we have not heard any news of a concerted attack by Ukrainian forces regarding such targets.

Either of success, by Ukraine, or defeat by Russia.

From this, can we conclude that the demanded resupply never occurred, at least not to the level required?

This guy is going to be the next President/Dictator of Russia. They will try to assassinate him. It will fail. Then he's gonna be mad. He'll realize, "I have an army." And he's going to purge everyone out of there.

I think Putin will support a drift between Prigozhin and Kadyrov (Chechens) and let their forces duke it out on the sidelines if it comes to conflict between them. That way he kills two birds with one stone.

As if the Ukraine war was going well and they could afford that.

If this were really true and the Wagner chief was really saying these things without Putin’s knowledge, he would be dead. He isn’t dead, therefore I can only assume his words are sanctioned and therefore likely to be part of a misdirection.

The fact remains that Russia are sifting through their military trash right now. I fully expect sky fungi at some point.

Based on the videos and statements released by Prigozhin over the last few months ,his feud with the Russian MOD is no secret.

Here's another gem from Prigozhin from today.

twitter.com...

He says Russian forces abandoned the Wagner forces today where he lost 500 men. In Russian, with English translation.

Oh, these guys. LOL

Here is a good one.

How US Military SMOKED Russian Mercenaries...

When the first vehicle in the convoy suddenly blew up, the Russian mercenaries knew something was wrong. Their objective, to capture an oil field in eastern Syria, was supposed to be a routine mission. The enemy they knew by then would have fled long ago at the sight of 500 battle-hardened Russian and Syrian fighters. But instead, the attack had come to an abrupt halt and explosion after explosion shook the ground. It wasn't long before AC-130 gunships, Predator drones, Apache helicopters and fighter jets were circling over the battlefield, pounding the attackers from every imaginable angle.

What the Russian forces didn’t know was that the oil field was not defended by any fighters, but by American Special Operations Forces, supported by the most powerful air force in the world. And so, within a few minutes, the routine mission turned into hell on earth - and into one of the deadliest engagements for the notorious Russian mercenary group Wagner.

Prigozhin either has a death wish or he's looking to weaken Putin so he can possibly take over in the future.

I don't know man, this very well could be true.
But we won't truly ever know but one way to tell would be to wait a few months and see what happens.
They both have an army, protection, money, clearly disposable assets.
Should be interesting.

Ukraine have said that a Brigade of Russian troops fled Bakhmut which would seem to back up Prigozhin's claim.

A Russian army brigade has fled from Bakhmut, Ukrainian forces claim.

They released a video purportedly showing the 72nd Separate Motor-Rifle Brigade abandoning its positions on the southwestern outskirts of the city.
