New ATS look ?

My statement was hyperbolic, although, I've been around a bit and ATS feels a bit like coming home, rather than being a guest in someone else's house.

Also, I saw members' reactions when it looked like the site was gone for good... people were scrambling to other sites for news of ATS's situation.

You're doing an awesome job! And trust me, I know what it's like digging through someone else's old hacky and sometimes uncommented code and trying to figure out what is going on, lol. Just hang in there, you're doing great and you got this.

I've been thinking the last few days on asking about a forum for drug related stuff... I just noticed your post mentioning psychedelics so I'm guessing things are in the works for that kind of discussion.

I figured a forum a bit like abovetopsecret would be needed and an obvious warning about self-incrimination, either way cheers for considering.

We are going to launch it but there will have to be restrictions like : no pictures of your stash. and SWIM doesn't work either lol. But yea, preferably the board should be more shamanic based not a "drug forum" but harm reduction is something to consider. But I was thinking keeping it more focused on experiences and ideas however a forum for Cannabis growing tips might be good since Cannabis is legal in most places.

But I would not feel comfortable with people talking about heroin, coc aine, etc etc. unless they were asking for help/support about getting off of that stuff.

The new look forum icons look fantastic on my laptop. They are black in places much easier to see.

Yeah when people consider chemicals going into the body they often drift into negative thinking and the fact is anything can be addictive.

IMO the body is a chemical producing machine, I like the analogy of the body being an IV bag hooked up to consciousness... We produce most of the chemicals we consume anyways. So yes, drugs isn't a good word when it comes to the potential of discussions within or around this future board.

Discussion around shamanic stuff sorely lacks like 1/3 of the conversation due to restrictions, we could easily talk about mental breakdowns/breakthroughs, legal prescriptions, meditation, something I call "memory work" or even spiritualism without delving into drug talk yet we're still missing the potential of discussion since it all points in a general direction whether the individual is assisted along the path or not.

The stigma associated with such conversations always comes from a highly controlled narrative, outdated thinking. It's a masking of issues yet some still cling to outdated thinking.
