Just jump aboard OAN or Newsmax, they are decent. a reply to: Violater1

Sure, if you like right-wing propganda that pushes a republican narative with zero journalistic integrity.

I mean, shouldn't we be aiming for a news organization with the least amoung of bias. It's impossible to have zero bias, but organizations like NewsMax, OAN, MSNBC, CNN are completely bias.

I really do not understand how people can sit here and criticize left wing media like CNN but look the other way when organizations like Fox, NewsMax, and OAN do the exact same viewer minipulation and party spin on news.

Do you guys actually want media that reports the truth and doesn't withhold informaiton? Or do you just want a nice republican mouthpiece to say what you want to hear?

Progressive Liberals define the word "propaganda" .
It's the "nature of the beast" .

It's capitalism with confirmation bias as the bait. 2 for 1 from the pillow man styled capitalism, beans and rice that will last 25 years. Alex Jones wrote the book...pure genius marketing. Target your audience, enhance their fears and reap the benefits.

. But who would have the capitol to do so?

There are plenty of individuals and groups that could host a network; But they would expect a return on their investment; that's the way capitalism works....would you suggest the state take over media.

Apparently I didn't allude to the financier, being Donald Trump.
Or, Trump TV

I hope Fox News sinks! It serves them right. They were knowlingly lying to their viewers in order to make a profit. This is just like how Trump was lying to his supporters about the "stolen" election - both to steal the election himself and to raise hundreds of millions of dollars for the legal battle that he ended up spending on his own self instead.

You conservatives are being played! Neither Trump or Fox News likes you! They are just using you for your money.

Not surprised. It would have helped to think for yourselves.

However - I agree with you that Fox News should go down. Rupert Murdoch isn't even an American.

You're right. And I know ALOT of people detest what media has become. Wether that's Fox, CNN, MSNBC, ect.. Most of us know they are heavily minipulated by corporate sponsors and agendas.

But... for some reason, we (americans) continue to support such networks. We continue to elect politicians that do nothing to change the systsem. They only talk about changing the system.

Removing corprorate influence from media and poitics will change things. But why is it that all presidential candidates and large media refuse to talk about this?

They are taking what's left of the media down peice by peice.

There is nothing left of the media.

In their democracy only one side gets to win, and only one side of view gets told.

Dissent is no longer allowed.

Corporate influence is SOP in a capitalistic system. I know it's old and cliched, but...."You get what you pay for" in the political realm.

Media has been agenda driven since the Colonies. Founding Fathers had competing papers where they excoriated each other with insinuations that would not even be possible now.

We get it.....you don't care for Tucker Carlson.

Quite frankly, Tucker wasn't always popular and like all humans, has made his share of mistakes. But make no mistake, he was there, learning and trying to get the information he thought his viewers wanted to know. To his credit, he brought things to light others didn't and he asked the tough questions. I would hardly call him a talking head. He believed in his information and his work and many are grateful he exposed so much to the public as otherwise, it would still be hidden. So thrash and dis his name and work all you want. Some of us actually learned a thing to two and are wiser from the benefit of his contribution to our awareness of politics and social issues.

There in lies the problem. He learned what his viewers wanted to know.

Dude’s an heir to hundreds of millions of dollars. The alleged texts that came out show he was at ideological odds with the platform he was projecting on his show.

Clearly bias punditry isn’t some godsend. These people aren’t godsends. Madow pushed the Russiagate narrative, it was disgusting, and where is she now? Did we celebrate, rightfully so. I don’t know a lot about Lemon, I suppose he wasn’t memorable. All I know is he was insufferable like Madow.

Maybe it’s one of those things where I’ve always hated cable. Here they are, charging you $60-90 a month to spend a third of your time viewing ads. Seems so belligerent and indicative of their aim.

Glenn Greenwald has done far more than Tucker has, and while he’s often boarderline extremist, his works don’t implicate that you vote for one or the two parties but rather you shouldn’t go for either. Jeremy Scahill blew the lid on private military contractors while the fiscal Conservative Party acted like he was a traitor.

Tucker was just fringe enough to convince people they were anti establishment by leaning right (into the GOP). People suddenly act like voting republic is punk rock just because the left is insufferable and virtue signaling the most idiotic cultural platforms.

We’re to believe these two parties reflect majority in our society. Yet they each have about 25% of people identifying with them. It’s the illusion they’re the only choice while 50% don’t identify with them. It’s the likes of Tucker that keep this illusion alive.

His show, now that all the texts and emails are coming out, is the textbook definition of gaslighting.

It will be a great place for trump to advertise his trading cards, golden checks, his TV show, his University, his Casino, his magazine and his football team.

He was a big piece of what keeps the status quo just that. But, I suppose he may have been too ambitious for viewers and cost more than he brought to the table.

$780million is a huge chunk of change, using the 8xtimes revenue figure they need to gross a significant amount to recoup that.
