I don’t often play the scratch tickets here because I never win.

Well that changed today. I read where there are updated websites that tell you what has already been won and what are the odds of a win.
There is an unknown element as some people might not have turned in their winning tickets, but that is only a small percent.

So I copied the remaining games and next time I was in the store I was going to give it a shot.

In my grocery store I only found two of the tickets that were on my list. So I bought both of them, one was $20, and one was a $10 ticket.

I won $200 on the 20 ticket and $10 on the $10 ticket, not bad for my first try on using this method!!
What kinda shocked me was how many tickets have little to no winning left and people (like me) were buying these worthless tickets!

I’m not sure if all states list the remaining wins still out there but if they do, be sure to check it, it might help you win!
The list also tells you if a major prize is still available.

I bought two ten dollar tickets one day years back. The first one I lost, the second one I won twenty bucks....never bought another ticket over five bucks again. In fact, since that time, I have bought very few five dollar tickets. I stick to the one and two dollar ones. I maybe buy forty bucks of tickets a year, and win maybe ten bucks off them total. Definitely a loss for me, the odds got so bad at winning your money back the last ten years, I am not going to spend much on them or any gambling.

I spin the Michigan lottery wheel and get free games occasionally and also I get some coupons for lottery tickets or draw games. We use the stuff from the spins to help reduce the wife's ticket costs from one draw game she plays. Sometimes between those coupons plus her five dollar win, it only costs us two to five bucks for a twenty dollar purchase of multiple draws.

Even with the discount from the daily free spin, it still is a losing proposition, just less money lost.

We spend quite a bit on scratch offs, we put them away and use the winnings on short 1 night 2 day expensive trips to say like Great Wolf Lodge in Gurnee IL. Yes Illinois I know don't roast me too bad. But here lately we have been losing our buttoxs. I've heard of this site but never checked it out, I will def now! Thanks for the reminder and a link!

Why not go to the Dells instead?
You can get quite a deal on the Wilderness and it is significantly bigger/better than Great Wolf (unless you want a smaller environment)

I used to live in the Gurnee area, so very familiar with that area.

Lmao A woman I work with said the exact same thing you just did and exact same place! I'm not one for traffic as people scare the bajeezus out of me but I will check it out. Prices can't be worse and she said there were a lot more grown up water rides as well.. I haven't been to the Dells since I was about 11 or so? I'll look into it, We get married May 5th and she has 2 smaller children ages 8 and 10. I just want them to be able to ride the rides as well since they are both shorter.

I’m excellent at statistics.

I also know life doesn’t always have to be so serious. I’ll throw a quarter in a fountain and make a wish.
I’ll play a scratchy ticket and laugh, win or lose. Luckily I did win this time.

The NJ lottery website lists all the scratch offs, and the remaining prizes.
My husband plays the scratch offs, he used to win quite a bit, $500, $300, $200, $50, but since NJ privatized the lottery system, $10 or $50 is usually the most he wins from time to time.
I heard about a lottery store / deli in a nearby town, where two brothers were having a cup of coffee and one was buying the $2 scratch offs. He played them quite a bit just about every day, and this day he spent all the money he had on him. It was a new roll of the $2 scratch offs, and he had a feeling that this was a lucky one.
He told the owner not to sell any tickets on that roll to anyone else, he was going home to get more money and would be right back, he lived around the corner. His brother got bored and decided to buy one scratch off, he never played them.
Well, of course the brother hit the $30,000 prize on that one ticket! True story.
