I have often wondered how the men in United States of America have become soft, weak, pathetic, sensitive, undisciplined, easily offended and out of
shape to do anything. Well, I finally got my answer while doing a workout on the Peloton this past Sunday.
I joined a "Live" class with an instructor I have never used before, that was mistake . I figured I would stay in the class since I already
completed a 10 minute warm up prior to the starting the live class. The instructor was Jen Shermen, an older women. Gritty. Uses lots of profanity
in her rides but not to motivate you.
As the workout was getting started the instructor welcomed everyone to her Men's choice ride. I said to myself, "Choice of What?????". The ride
I soon found out was that the men who normally take her classes got to pick the music to the workout. The music choices were my first look into how
pathetic men have become. If you can call the men I observed in the room "men". Biologically I guess they were men, but by the looks of them and
their music picks, I would beg to differ. See the list below for the music picks.....
Summer, Highland Falls----Billy Joel
Dont Change -----INXS
Brown Eyed Girl----Van Morrison
Thunder Road----Bruce Springsteen
Taking Care of Business---Bachman/Turner Overdrive
Jack & Diane----John Mellencamp
The Boys are Back in Town---- Thin Lizzy
Walk----Foo Fighters
Go Your Own Way----Fleetwood Mac
Heroes----David Bowie
Memories-----Maroon 5
Free Fallin----Tom Petty
As I was doing the workout and the camera panned around, I noticed all the men with the exception of one, looked like Kyle Gass of Tenacious D. LOL!
They were all singing, bopping along, having a good time, smiling, barely sweating. And they were all wearing a tee shirt that said "Jenns Men".
LMFAO!!!! I was like WTF is going on . This is supposed to be a workout not a dance party. The worst part was the smiles and stupid grins on their
faces when they should have been pushing on the intervals and hills. The female instructor had more balls then any of the "men" in this class.
Seeing all of these " men" in the class made me mad and then sad. I said to myself, "Dang! No wonder the USA has become what it has become.
Soft, weak, pathetic. The men are no longer "Men". When did this happen????"
Before all of you start chiding me about my rant and start telling me that at least they were "trying to workout" or "trying to be fit". I get
it. They at least were doing something. But they were not working out. I don't know what they were doing. What I do know is that they are never
going to change the physical look they have or get their cardiovascular system in better condition. I base this on the way they all were "working
out" in the class and how they looked physically.
Anyway, I am still trying to wrap my head around what I witnessed. And I can't believe this is my first post. I thought my first post would be
something more intriguing and not a rant about how men in America are no longer men. I am wondering what we can do as a society and personally to
remedy this problem I see everyday in the USA.
Thank you for reading my first post on ATS and any and all comments are welcome.
