"Have you ever heard of Dynamo Kiev?
Yes that's what they were always called in football,as far back as when they were still in the USSR."

www.uefa.com...

They ain't in the USSR anymore. There isn't one.

There isn't an East Germany anymore, either.

Times move on, so should you.

With the amount of money being funneled into the war, you'd have to be crazy to think this wasn't happening. Grifters, opportunists, and psycopaths are everywhere there is an opportunity to exploit situations for personal gain. I don't imagine it's gotten as bad as Iraq yet where people are delivering millions of dollars in suitcases and pallets to war lords and other groups just because of the overall situation in country. The same as there will be a lot of "charities" that are only in it to get themselves rich. We've already seen examples of that happening.

As far as Hersch's claim, meh. I respect Hersh for his work but he was been wrong a lot and right sometimes over the last 25 years. A few of his more outrageous claims have been corroborated after the fact, usually years later. And some of them have been shown to be wrong, again through evidence that comes about years later. So I am not saying he is wrong in his claim, same as with the nordstream claim, but I'll need to see more evidence before I take either as truth.

I am sure others will just take Herschs claim at face value and that's cool. And others won't believe any of it because of their own stand on the issue.

I require a little more than just one person with anonymous sources, regardless of who the person is.

YMMV

Edit:- doh just saw GAOTU789 post above me with the bit about Hersch.

So Seymor Hersch... not really seen anything of his and he seems to have done some things in the past that were decent. But this bit about him is worrying...

In a 2005 interview with New York magazine, Hersh made a distinction between the strict standards of accuracy observed in his print reporting and the leeway he allowed himself in speeches, in which he spoke informally about stories still being worked on, or changed information to protect his sources: "Sometimes I change events, dates, and places in a certain way to protect people. ... I can't fudge what I write. But I can certainly fudge what I say."[104]

In a July 2004 speech to the American Civil Liberties Union, at the height of the Abu Ghraib scandal, Hersh alleged that there existed video tapes of young boys being sexually assaulted at the prison, in which their "shrieking" could be heard.[104] In his book Chain of Command, however, he clarified that a lawyer in the case had told him about a prisoner witness statement which described the alleged rape of a boy by a foreign contract employee who worked as an interpreter, as a woman was taking pictures. Hersh later stated: "I actually didn't quite say what I wanted to say correctly. ... It wasn't that inaccurate, but it was misstated. The next thing I know, it was all over the blogs."[104]

In a March 2009 speech at the University of Minnesota, Hersh alleged that the Bush administration had authorized the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) to locate and kill targets in a program which reported only to Vice President Cheney, outside of the chain of command, in what Hersh described as an "executive assassination ring".[105] In a January 2011 speech in Doha, Qatar, Hersh alleged that General Stanley A. McChrystal, head of the JSOC from 2003 to 2008, and his successor Admiral William H. McRaven were "members, or at least supporters" of the Knights of Malta, a Catholic lay religious order, and that many JSOC officers were members of the Catholic institution Opus Dei; McChrystal denied the allegation. Hersh further alleged that some military leaders viewed the U.S. wars in the Middle East as a "crusade", in which they were protecting Christians from Muslims "[as] in the 13th century".[106][107]

So the guy seems to like warping what he says compared to what he writes and happily admits to it despite the issues that can cause in the guise of protecting his 'anonymous' sources of which he seems to have many, and it seems his use of 'anonymous sources' is his shtick... at what point does what a person say become also what a person writes and vice versa, so him saying that he can make both different is rather illogical and very dangerous.

So... sure like people like David Ike, they get 1 or 2 things right in their past but it doesnt mean everything they say afterwards or before, or how they went about it is right. That Abu Ghraib part is especially damning of his potential character and the excuse he came up with for it shows he doesn't particularly care if what he says is taken wrongly.

'It wasnt that inaccurate, but it was misstated'... yes a very reliable journalist.

Sorry if i take what the guy says as very little...

You may take what you will from it.

I fear the truth is only going to harm you in the long run however.

It's quite simple really, you can trust the western gov't or you can trust a journalist of half a century who has plenty of credit to spare.

Or you may trust none.

Best of luck.

How about a fairly well established timeline?

Starting when exactly...?

So war is a racket and politicians are corrupt. Who knew?

Anyone who didn't fall off the last Christmas tree already worked out that the US was behind Nordstream (as the US controls NATO) and that the Ukraine is one of the most corrupt countries on earth.

What Sy Hersh really did was fill in a lot of the missing details.

Maybe some people will finally WAKE UP and see that Zelenskyy, his cronies and members of the US government don't care about Ukraine or its people.

Heck, Ukrainian government was attacking its own citizens in the Donbass for 7 years,. Men, women, pregnant women, children they were all targeted and fired upon in the Donbass.

The only person who is truly working for his people and their future is Vladimir Putin.
