Well, Geddy from Rush had a little bit of a hard time dealing with the passing of Neil Peart and out of that came this "memoir". What details are in it, I don't know but this looks to be a good read. He's always been pretty honest about things in general so I feel this might be a really good look into rock and roll in the early days of the band. Looking forward to stories about Kiss, there's got to be something there.

The title apparently comes from a colloquialism that his family used to refer to the family nearly being wiped out in the holocaust. He also, apparently, likes to swear so in his honor, I'll say Frak yeah, I'm in.

Pre ordered. Can't wait to read it. Thanks for letting me know.

Little side story....

In the early 2000s I was in Joshua Texas visiting my oldest son and we went to a local restaurant for lunch. A tall guy riding a BMW, dressed in full leathers came in and sat down. Just casually looking around as you do at places, I noticed he looked familiar. I thought to myself "No way". I will swear to this day it was Neil Peart. He was notorious for just taking off and riding where ever the wind took him and that day, he just happened to stop for lunch. I didn't ask for an autograph or even approach his table. He saw me looking, I smiled and gave him a thumbs up and he nodded thank you.

It's weird Ive got a love/hate thing with rock and roll memoirs, for me the really good ones are few and far between. Not to mention socially, Rush was where I broke from the dudes' I'd hung with previously as a young teen. Still know them they are great friends but they still listen to the same stuff as when they were 13-14. Nothing wrong with it, but damn Rush is a top 5 most influential band to me.

This one is an essential must-read.

I used to wear a starman necklace - I've lost it and am really bummed because I can't seem to find another - and always what would have happened if I came across him randomly wearing that. I wouldn't have bothered him but I'd bet there was a chuckle involved between us.
