Mongolian throat singing and Rock go well together , never heard of The HU until a few weeks ago but this rocks , DuVall's good too.

Saw William Duvall preform with AIC in Phoenix in 2009 I believe. Best concert I’ve ever been too. He has great vocals, but the part I remember most was William was explaining to the audience he was suffering with a flu/or bad cold, (couldn’t tell, his vocals were on point). He then says “I just want to know how you got that bong past security to a concert goer in the front, to which the guy held it up. It had to be over 30” long, absolutely hilarious!

Chill Out by the KLF has a sample of throat singing-for years I assumed it was techno trickery.
But no!
HU are unique-I heard of them from the "Dune" remake-think the opening scene has one of their tunes,I recognisd the throat singing from another Mongolian band called "Tuva",who are more traditional(No electric guitars)but still awesome.

I have wondered for years if Genghis ever used the technique on his conquests-he sure liked unconventional military operations on occasion but I haven't read if he ever used throat singing.

I bet 10 000 mongolian troops all doing a throat chant would drive fear into many an enemy force.
Even today its such a weird and unique sound.

Really enjoy their stuff an ATSer, Lumenari, I think mentioned them on Metallica's Sad but True cover a while back.

I can't listen to them loud enough... so tribal

Ii got to work one of their shows last summer. They and their crew were fantastic. And their set rocked.
