Interesting pics... at first guess I would have to say it is simply a location set up for military exercises. The U shaped earthen mounds are usually indicative of artillery placements. I wonder when the satellite pictures were taken. Usually when you check the various satellite imaging services, the pictures are rarely real time, they were usually taken many months (if not years) ago, so these may not be recent pictures.

Several years ago I was a vacuum salesman. I did a demonstration for a middle aged gentleman who listed his profession as "Retired Federal Agent." He would not tell me what agency, but he did show me a few toys.

One looked like a laptop with fewer keys. He punched some coordinates and a few seconds later low and behold up popped a picture of my car in his driveway.
Realtime satellite imagery in a little standalone unit. I want one!
