Tonight I was in my garage puttering around, minding my own business.
Just messing with a woodworking project that’s been on my mind for a while now.

So I pop on the Bluetooth speaker strategically placed on the wall and turn on the Spotify app. My daughter has a bunch of playlists pre made so an old man like me can just plug and play.

Here I am, jamming alone to some Alice In Chains when it hit me….. ALL OF THESE BANDS HAVE DEAD PEOPLE!
I open up the app and she named it “dead singers”… ugh, so sad.
The bright side is she has great taste in music…

Sound garden
Alice In Chains
Stone temple pilots
Sublime
Blind melon
Etc

On the other end of the spectrum but in the same vein, there's this. I nearly wept first time I heard it.

Little bit of everything…mostly drug problems coupled with mental health issues.

Was raised on Country Music, even got to go to the Old Grand Ole Opry with my parents when I was 12.
Thanks for posting. My mom had all them records.

A highlight of my youth was when my mama took me to see Johnny Cash in concert, nigh fifty year ago. The shocker is that this was when the Statler Brothers were touring with him, and I remember the Statlers more from that night than I remember Johnny.

I stumble across this song online a couple of weeks back, hadn't heard it before. I guess part of the reason it hit me so hard was that about half-way through it occurred to me, Damn, this means I'm one of them "old men."

It took me a whole year before I could listen to Soundgarden again.

The AiC Unplugged makes me cry… still!

Hard to believe that this music is 30 years old!

I still listen to the Seattle scene music.

Check out Sweetwater if you can.
