Apparently they take your package on a sighting seeing tour before they deliver it. I ordered a coffee cup for my wife. It had a saying on it that, since she's an Nurse, I thought was pretty damn funny. I ordered it on the 8th, today is the 12th and it's still joy riding around the country according to the package tracking.

I copied the info : [ start at the bottom ]
Sunday March 12
1:37 AM
Package left an Amazon facility.
Nashville, TENNESSEE US

Saturday, March 11
11:53 PM
Package left the carrier facility.
Nashville, TN US

4:37 PM
Package arrived at an Amazon facility.
Nashville, TENNESSEE US

12:19 AM
Package left an Amazon facility.
Hebron, KENTUCKY US

Friday, March 10
4:17 PM
Package arrived at an Amazon facility.
Hebron, KENTUCKY US

10:42 AM
Package left the carrier facility.
Nashville, TN US

Carrier picked up the package.

This has been back and forth from Nashville to Hebron Ky, bouncing from one place to another in the same city FOR DAYS and I don't know where the Hell it is now because the last entry says it left Nashville this morning. Probably back to Hebron.
Just going in circles, round and round, never really getting anywhere.

The motto on the cup ?

"OMG ! A patient almost died right in front of me today.....but then I counted to 10 and put the scissors back in my pocket and she never even knew"

If you know a Nurse, show them that and I'll bet money they say 'Yep, been there "

I had a t-shirt that seemed to fall off a cliff once after it left Indianapolis. Somehow it took the better part of a week for it to travel from Indy to KC before someone scanned it in at a facility in KCMO. Then they took it across town to KCK before they sent it back over the KCMO and finally sent it back out for delivery.

I own a book that got lost in transit and didn't arrive. Amazon refunded the purchase price. Then a couple of weeks later it dropped on my doorstep.

Two thoughts : perhaps the package was lost, or damaged : so they just scrapped it, and re-started the delivery process ?

Also : following those ever-more detailed tracking logs posted by you and ntech ; could those lists look like our tracking-records, in the very near 15-Minute-City™, Full-Spectrum™, Bio-Security™, Control-Grid™ ?

Nah - of course not ...

Would be interesting to see the readouts from the Citizens™ being watched like hawks, in those Chinese™ Social-Credit™ experiments.

Just joking. Could maybe write a humorous story like that though.

I ordered something on ebay, it was mailed from down south to NJ, got to NJ and then was shipped out to California.
Then it took a trip all the way down south again, finally made it up north to NY, and after 3 weeks was delivered to me.
This was the United States Post Office handling the package.
But the very best was a sweatshirt I ordered from Coldwater Creek. I received a pair of shoes instead from them, called them and got a return address sticker from them to their returns department, and put it in the mail for a refund.
Six weeks later I was calling Coldwater Creek for my refund, which took months.
Three months after I had mailed that package back to them, the post office delivered it back to me - LOL!
I gave the shoes to a neighbor.
I do know that some of the mail people don't speak English very well, perhaps that is not helping matters?

Living on the west coast and ordering anything from the eastern side of the continent means it will take the scenic route.

A package will go from New York to Oregon, back to Kentucky, then Oregon, on to Spokane, back to New York, down to Utah, etc.

We're only 100 or so miles from Spokane, Wa. so it's rather humorous to watch the journey.

Companies used to compete with Amazon since their deliveries were so quick, but their ending three day delivery has made for a lot of lazy shippers.

Ive been shopping online for stuff lately more than usual, and yes stuff coming from midwest takes really slow crazy routes to get to the west coast.

Ordered a controller from KY that took longer than my order from China to get here. WV and TN also seem to have logistic issues shipping to WA quickly.

The amount of ppl shopping online has exploded over the years.

Same here!
I’ve watched stuff zigzag all over, like kings in a game of checkers! Who the heck plans the routing for stuff?!
