Today I had an antigen and flu test.
It was said by the doctor I have this: Bronchitis is an inflammation of the lining of your bronchial tubes, which carry air to and from your lungs. People who have bronchitis often cough up thickened mucus, which can be discolored. Bronchitis may be either acute or chronic.

Often developing from a cold or other respiratory infection, acute bronchitis is very common. Chronic bronchitis, a more serious condition, is a constant irritation or inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubes, often due to smoking.

Acute bronchitis, also called a chest cold, usually improves within a week to 10 days without lasting effects, although the cough may linger for weeks.

Doctor visit with 2 test and meds cost me 50 USD. I thought fairly cheap. Meds for Bronchitis cost me 7 bucks. I'm using dollars , easier to understand.

Quite a while back now I had a sudden onset illness that landed me in ICU with septic shock and organs shutting down. Not much they can do at that stage apparently, apart from IV's of...whatever it is they they use...and observation...wait and hope you stabilize. They ended up emergency evacuating me to a larger hospital with better specialists and facilities for my condition. Don't remember all that much about it really. I did eventually stabilise enough for emergency surgery and have vague memories of being wheeled all around the place at strange hours for scans or whatever. Then recuperated in hospital. When I left they wanted me to stay another couple of days, but I guess when I'm feeling a bit better I'm not a good patient (a pain in the arse I imagine lol) and couldn't wait to get out.

The total cost to me amounted to $0.

The follow up consults with the GP also cost $0.

I'm generally apolitical but thankful we had a left wing govt many years ago (only one ever to my knowledge), this being their legacy.

Thats good news MIM, you made me watch Japan's COVID situation closer, moving in the right direction. Ive been following along on the New York Times Covid pages which BTW will no longer be compiling data on March 10th.

Ive developed a nasty long-lasting cough myself but it's allergy season here

When you're cycling up hills, take regular breaks bro, bronchitis is brutal on the lungs.

It is, my Mom has had issues and so has my brother inlaw. Ive heard marshmallow root and stinging nettle work well but you can't go wrong with fresh raw garlic and ginger either.

When I was a toddler I was in a fire and supposedly doctors were concerned about smoke inhalation but I didn't start to have real problems till I got double pneumonia in my 30s

Yes. After March 8th the mask come off, but the trains, buses and subways may still required mask to be on.

Yes, going up hill even at 2 degrees ( I think ) is brutal. Doc said nothing about any unusual heart rhythms, go good on that. Hey! I'll be touring again starting around April 16. You still checking the blog?
