Federal Judge Strikes Down New York’s Social Media ‘Hate Speech’ Law

They really want to shut people up who disagree with them. Now they want to pass "obscure" laws that are not well defined so that they can go after people and punish them with fines or crimes.

I am really sick of Authoritarian Progressives trying to turn the US into East Germany. You know your position is not strong if you have to try to pass laws to shut up or imprison any opposition to your rhetoric or secular cult religious beliefs.

A federal judge issued an injunction blocking enforcement of New York’s “Hateful Conduct Law” seeking to regulate “hate speech” on social media platforms, ruling that the law is a violation of the First Amendment, which prevents the U.S. government from regulating the speech of its citizens.

New York’s “Hateful Conduct Law” shares similarities with California’s law requiring social media platforms to report their policies on hate speech, extremism and disinformation to the state attorney general twice a year. The bill was signed into law by California governor Gavin Newsom last year.

Thank goodness for small wonders. But this is just crazy we're at this point.

On the other hand, I know this crap is happening in England and Scotland, perhaps other places as well. Normally surrounding Transgender issues.

I wonder how far NY will take this thru the courts? Tyrants like this don't like to be told "no."
