Well said. No god-sent man bears self-witness, even Pharisees in the gospel narratives knew this. When a seer's ego and sentiment comes into play, the prediction loses its accuracy.

No, but they are symbols of economic power, ideal targets for reprisals from terrorists or enemy countries. 9/11 represents an escalation which has yet to be culminated (comparable to Charlie Hebdo), refer to the 1993 & 1997 incidents prior, and since then, most attacks have been staged by radical Islamists.

If our politicians and their military cohorts were sensible, this would hold true, but let's not overlook the psychological impact of bombings (why else would Israel and Turkey annually drop their munitions near Gaza and Greece respectively?), not to mention the systematic targeting of cultural sites (i.e. Dresden, Syria).
