ok. So I really want one of these. And for some reason they won't sell them to individuals..they were in talks with the ATF here in the states but then out of nowhere Czech Republic passes this dumb law..Opinions..

Are you in a country that you can't have a real firearm?

This is a 2 shot black powder pistol. Hell, this would be one of the "last" pistols I would want to CC.

It looks like a cool gun to play around with, and anything with the Detonics name has my interest. My bro has a detonics combat master in .45 acp, pretty cool little gun.

The one in your OP being black powder/percussion doesn't seem to me to be anything the ATF would have much problem with, so I have no idea why it would be prohibited in the States. A weapon of that type would be a pretty poor choice for a carry gun, or as an offensive weapon, mostly it would be an oddity for collecting or sport shooting.

Only gray area I could see it being a problem in might be that they see it as a way for felons to possess it due to it being black powder, but there are currently other pistols available like that. 🤷

Well, with practice, you might get 6 shots in under 5 minutes, assuming range conditions. If being shot at, you might get 6 shots in 10 minutes.

You better make the first 2 shots count and hope an attacker doesn't have a friend with even just a knife or club.

Still it's cool as an unusual pistol.

No, Im in the states, Its the Czech Republic that won't export it to individuals..Yea, it makes no sense it being blackpowder. Ive been shooting blackpowder since I was a child, that's why this has my interest, the percussion containment has come a long way and you can use 209 shotgun primers with this. For a 7 foot "get back!" weapon I just think it would be useful, and the fact that its not technically a firearm in the US.

gray area there. The fact that it can not be converted to a fixed fire mechanism by switching any combination of parts technically makes it a replica, but its design is modern..any blackpowder gun that can be converted is a banned class..ie, with a frame..so technically those blackpowder navy replicas are all in a banned class for felons or mental defectives..antique is the key word, and local laws could be different and more restrictive.

Soo.what I have discovered..if it goes boom, I can't have it. (mental defective here)..technically I could have an old Kentucky long rifle or a 1800s coach gun...something like that, but I would imagine any sort of problem and a mountain could get made of a mole hill pretty easy, so no bang bang for Nutzo..could be worse
