CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - An explosion went off at a bazaar popular with tourists near Cairo's al-Azhar mosque Thursday, killing one person and wounding five, police said.
It appeared that at least some tourists were among the wounded, police officials said. Their nationalities were not yet known.
Police did not rule out the possibility that the blast was an accident, but they also were investigating reports that it was caused by a person on a motorcycle, official said.

CAIRO (Reuters) - A man on a motorbike threw a bomb in the central historic area of Cairo on Thursday, killing a woman and a Frenchman and wounding at least eight others, Egyptian police sources and emergency service officials said.
A doctor at a nearby hospital said a man wounded by the bomb died at the hospital. The body of a woman was also transferred to the hospital in an unrecognizable state.
Police sources said a man on a motorcycle throw the bomb at about 5 p.m. local time (1500 GMT) in the busy tourist area of the Egyptian capital.
