Surely. I would hope they even fed it bogus signals.

All those nuclear missiles aimed at China thankfully don't put off any signals. I do think we should re-target roughly 95% targetted at Russia, and target China instead.

Weather balloon my butt too, the NOAA website is easily accessible for exact weather trends and current and future weather events including the positions of the upper level Jet Streams, also used to steer the balloon around.

This was a dry run, and Intel gathering mission. The US failed to stop it before the data was collected and returned.

Absolutely abomination of the US military decisions.

And how do you think NOAA gets the winds aloft data to publish to that website?

It shows that perhaps the mayor media outlets in the US are in the pockets of communist china, they are doing what benefits china lately, but also remember they are covering up for the democrat's corruption also.

When the Sputnik launched in the 50's, you should have seen people, they were losing their minds. Is it a bomb? Is it going to drop an atom bomb on us? The fact it was just a ping-home did nothing to dissuade fears.

This was terrorism/psy war by the chinese but who knows for what reason

So why did the u.s Destroy it and not confiscate?
Now it's all hear say. It would be nice to have known the technology involved.

Anyone can destroy a balloon with a multi thousand dollar missile.
Capturing it would have shown greater strength.

But there is talk the Democrats did not give the go ahead to shoot it down before it completed its mission.
