Climate change as a pseudorelgion

When im talking about climate science with regard to it being a pseudo relgion.

you need a set of initial presumptions.

theres a narrative at the base of any belief system and climate pseudo religion is based on the charactization of nature as a hapless, defenseless fragile virgin.

The industrial activity of man kind is a rapatious power mad, demolisher of natural virginity and beauty.

The human being (the individual) is characterized as nothing more than a devouring mouth, who’s activity runs contrary to the untrameled beauty of the planet and it supports the activity of the tyranciall patriarchy.


the reason that narrative has force, is because it draws on underlying religious archetypes.

so to charactierize the world properly you have to characterize the positive aspects of nature.
since you have to live in a reciprocal way with nature. can’t just consume everything and devour everything in your local landscape, then you die.. so you have to have some sense of the value of nature.

also have to have some sense of the fact that if you were dropped in the jungle of the amazon naked, you’d be dead in about 48 hours. so you also need a figure to characterize the negative element of nature and that’s completely absent from the environmental myth. that’s part of what makes it pathological.

with regard to the rapatious tyranny, well
any industiral system or human organization can exploit the natural world that to the point it’s not sustainble, and it can become oppressive and tyrannical.. (that’s the ancient evil King - part of religous mythology as far back as we can chase it).

so you need a represenetaion of the negative aspect of society..

like how kids go to school and kids are turned into cookie cutter kids, crushes their innate differnces and beauty and it’s all the pain of having to be socialized, you have to understand theres an opporeseive element of culture. but then you should also wake up and realize you’v got the wise king too.. whihc means you have roof over your head, your not starving to death like people in 1860, people arent riotoing outside, there’s workmen knee deep in sludge to keep the everything going, so a little gratitiude for the positive end of the patriarchy is in order too, but that’s completely absent in the evnirnonmental view.



and then with regard to the individual, of course you can be a selfish hedonistic consumer. and you can facilitate the rapatioius tyranny, as a consequence of that, rape the planet. But on the same token were not a cancer on the face of the earth or a virus that’s mutating and taking out the planet.

you have to give credit where its due. theres an element of everyeone that noble, generous, kind and productive and capable of living in a well ordered state..in something like sustainable and productive harmony with nature. you only get half that story.

now if you have no comprehensive underlying cultural narrative,(which is increasingly the case in our society) and someone offers you when you're a teenager, half the religous story, you will snap that up in a second, because it helps you order your relationship with the world and gives you a pathway through the world.

the messianic stage when you’re an adolesecent - when you’re making the transition from the group identity that you're chasing as a teenager, to becoming an indivdual, you're gonna be looking for a pathway that’s essentially heroic. what that pathway should be is that you identify with your culture deeply and capable of transcending it. so then you become a culture creator as well as a disciplined member of culture.

but young people need to be offered something like a vision of destiny
in order to catalize their identity and we’re very very bad at that, except on the ideaological front.

so the woke types come along and say the planets a virgin, the great fathers a tyrant, you can be a hero if you just stood up to that. then kids think, Well id like to do something important with my life and so their caught into that immediately.

but because it’s a one sided story.. a one sided religious story is an ideaology.

In my mind, your post conjures up images of a surreal Peter Max like animated movie similar to "The Yellow Submarine" mixed in with Carlos Castaneda's "Teachings of Don Juan". It could be the tripped out plot of a 60s stream of consciousness freak out movie that Salvador Dali would have approve of.

poss easier to frame the experts as the new priesthood and the Venn diagram is interesting when you add the tras and covidians to the mix.. and looking at their support and it comes back to the similar groups of 1920s race/planet obsessed eugenicists who believe they are more than gods.

the only problems is they are a bunch of useless sheep.. instead of fixing the planet they're breaking it, instead of reducing the poor they are sterilising the rich, instead of removing the elderly its the young that are dying..

they've become their own worst enemies as they appear intent radicalising the world against them.

My issue with the religious global warming is CO2 crowd is they lie to make people act the way the deem necessary for the future of the planet. As if humans will be here after Earth has had enough of us. The cycles of the Earth don't care that we have leaders telling us they don't exist. They just are the cycles of the Earth and over time will come back to repeat again and again if the geological data is still allowed in this discussion.


The data does not support their claims at all IMO. So, they shout down the actual Science to promote their BS fake science agenda driven plan. The fact that key members of society keep telling us they want to eliminate the population, some people don't want to believe they mean it with all their arrogant, sick hearts. The acts and false narratives they are perpetrating are proving they mean it.

I've been saying this for some time, and I'd like to point out a number of features which correlate.

There is the extreme intolerance of unbelief. There is the compatability, as long as it remains "scientific" , with more traditional religions, so that it can become an acceptable "universal" belief system. There is the potential to slide into a less scientific approach, if despair begins to creep in, and transform itself into a form of nature religion, with a ready-made supreme deity in the shape of a personified Gaia. It behoves us to keep a close eye on it.

as i see it we mirror the late stage Victorian society filled with eugenicists who believe they are the gods who can fix everything that left us with Nazism as an unintended consequence..

when you have WEF talking heads blithely saying we need a 50% or 75% reduction in world population.. when billions of deaths become meaningless spiel someone somewhere will take that up and reframe that as lets kill all of them so we get to live..

we are already seeing it, in 2019 Blair held a pro EU conference in London and the outcome was to state that 2m elderly Britons needed to die to get the UK back into an EU country we see that with their obsession with the death stats and the death clock, alongside this we see various trans groups feeling they need to be armed as they believe the non trans want to genocide them.. the Venn diagram for all these groups would be interesting..

its an easy to see process of othering followed by nazi like thinking of how to remove x people who block utopia. but then utopia has always meant a utopia for the few and a dystopia for the many.. shame Moore never got that..

and that take me to where i feel we are heading.. which is to a reformation like point to take us back to enlightenment..

My goodness, what a long post. To which I can reply in not so many words.
Of course it's a "religion", because all religions work on the same tenets. Believe me, mine is the true way, all others are imposters, follow only me...... Answer:- it's all about control. If you're under the spell you're controlled, but the vast majority of religious adherents will disagree with you. In fact some will even kill you to prove their point. Well not kill you to prove their point but kill you just because.

The whole solar system is getting hotter and it has to do with our sun getting older..

Environmentalists have a strong view of human beings. They see human beings as tics sucking the life out of mother earth, causing the earth to be sick and suffer. To that end they see the destruction (genocide) of human beings as not only ethical but moral and just.

They basically hate humans, except for the elite class and elite politicians, and have zero compassion for their fellow human beings who the elite see as the lowly peon masses. They only care about is the planet, mother earth.

What they refuse to see as a "scientific fact" is that one day the earth will die. It may get hot, then hotter, then even hotter as the sun expands. In the unlikely event the sun goes Nova, the earth will be killed and all life on it will be killed, the soil rendered unable to grow anything, the atmosphere and water blown away. More probably it will burn itself out and go dark, without sun all life on earth will eventually die as all plant life will die, the planet will freeze and every living thing will die. So rather than embracing life, environmentalists are actually embracing the death of all, especially humans.

The earth WILL die and nothing, absolutely nothing humans can do will stop the total annihilation of mother earth as enviornmentalists think they can save, but they can't.

They don't see the planet as a home for people. They see the people as fleas, tics, leeches, as well as so harmful to the planet they deserve to be genocided until the numbers are so small the remnant can't harm the planet anymore.

It is the most evil religion, and it is a religion, on the face of this planet. It is even far worse than fascists and communists, who believe genocide is a net positive. They are far worse than Hitler who wanted to perfect humanity through genocide, environmentalists just want to eliminate the vast majority of humanity - except themselves of course.

Well, I see most of you being cynical, negative, and possibly paranoid. And WAY over thinking things.
Most humans are selfish, unconscious, uncaring, morbid semi-zombies. Maybe even you!
So what do you expect from people like this?
I think that you are expecting much better from them. You shouldnt. Very par for the course for most humans. Just accept it. Simple as this.
They get what they deserve, too. Esp later in life. So rest assure, justice is being done. They are beyond hope. Just let them go....
No need to glorify them with fancy rhetoric. Just move on. It's not thier fault. They are clueless. Semi-zombies. Nothing is going to change them. Just change yourself. Instead of blaming others.

I believe the word you are looking for is Cognitive dissonance,

its pseudo and its not pseudo..
"they" are "right" about the weather but for all the wrong reasons,
one cow fart more wont make the icecaps of mars or the moon melt any faster then it does at this point in time,
the human impact on this planet is a mere 2% of whats all ready a planets weather that does what it does,
Places gets hotter, some colder , some more wet, some dryer and it has nothing to do with the human carbon footprint,

12.500 years for a human is a lot but for this planet its just a piss in the ocean...

It's a religion in the same way all science is ...... ie not at all.

Opposition to science is, however, generally driven by primitive religious dogmatism.
