I think its logical kids are introduced to the topics because it is part of society and the world we live in. I do not believe that teachers should be making this their only personality trait and over sharing their personal life to childern. My child learned about sex (the act of sex) from her trans male gym teacher. He told the class he was born a female and transited to a male and they where also attracted/only had sex with only to men. This lead into both a lesson on how to transition from female to male (he explained he had his breasts removed) and a short explanation about sex between queer adults. The teacher was also asking the kids if they were queer/trans gender, or had queer/gender confusing thoughts or urges (this worried me because an adult was asking my kid if they had sexual urges for other kids). My child came home very confused and announced she was a CIS white privileged female.

Nothing happened to the teacher about this, and to this day I just wished someone had asked me permission before broaching these subjects. She was only 9 years old when this happened. We had not barely touched up on how babies where made, but this gym teacher was trying to explain m/m sex.

I am sorry if this offends people, but I want to be the person who teaches my child about these topics. If I had known such a thing was going to happen I could have brought up the subject sooner in the privacy of my home.

Are you saying there is no screening when applying for a job around children? I know that every job I applied they phoned all my previous references and asked a lot of behavioral and other psychological-based questions because I contacted my references after and asked about it. Thank God they check pilots. Whew.

Here in the US you cannot discriminate from hiring someone for having a disability (mental would be included). There are some perfectly capable and amazing people, in all those jobs you listed, that despite any mental disorders are excelling in their positions compared to people without disabilities.

Which mental disorders would you consider a "no hire" situation? Would you rather all people with mental disorders not work and live off the government? Are people to be grilled about everything in their life to become a fast food worker? That makes no sense at all and a bit intrusive. Do you want to tell your employers/the government all your personal darkest of thoughts even if they would never happen? That is called taking away a persons privacy which would take away their freedom of seclusion/public interference. Would you want the government to step in and force mental health screening on all citizens for the "right to work". Seems you rather have the government in our heads and deciding if people can work or not. That's a shame, and I hope you aren't American.

There is always some base mental health screening in all interviews. Lots of questions that tend to asked about mental health without directly asking the questions to avoid any lawsuits if they are not hired. Questions like "Where do you see yourself in 5 years" or "How do you feel about working here".

I think this person (The spam person) wants everyone to undergo a in depth psychological evaluation before working anywhere. That sort of level of control/permit to work would be likely carried out by the government. I say the government because its unlikely that McDonalds is going to pay $1,000 for a full mental health clearance for a entry level position paying min wage.
