I actually found some good stuff that can make food prep easier on that video.

I need to get a new knife sharpening stick, the one I have is pretty worn out over the last twenty years. I think I will make a trip down to the restaurant supply store in the next couple of weeks. I used to have two different kinds of those sharpening rods, the fine one got totally worn out, this one is now pretty bad.

Never put oil (olive or otherwise) in the water you use to cook pasta!

If you use sufficient water to boil your pasta, it won't stick. The oil merely floats on the top of the water, while the pasta boils below. Plus, you want that starchy pasta water that is left over to use in your sauce to help emulsify your sauce and make it stick to the pasta. Adding oil will just make it harder to get the sauce to "embrace" the pasta.

And Nonna will scold you for ruining the pasta!
