Just recently, my friends from Arkansas had a road trip to Cleveland and noticed a few people they assumed were immigrants walking along the backroads and highways. They even mistook someone sleeping in a ditch as a dead person and saw another person leaning on a fence. This happened multiple times during their trip.

No. Immigrants are still welcome here. In reasonable numbers. Wide open borders is killing the country. A dead country can't welcome anyone.

I got to see the wall this past weekend. Dune buggies down the maintenance road right along it between the cameras and the wall. Its impressive. Don't let the lefties fool you. Those cameras knew we were there. We had a ball kicking up dust. Near Mexicali on the US side.

Buckle Up!

One of the largest mass illegal crossings we have ever seen took place in Eagle Pass, TX this morning

BREAKING: One of the largest mass illegal crossings we have ever seen took place in Eagle Pass, TX this morning, w/ Border Patrol sources telling us over 2,200 people crossed there since midnight. It happened right next to the port of entry, as illegal immigrants continue to ignore Biden admin messaging of “do not come”, & do not fear the promised “consequences” for crossing illegally. Videos from source in MX & our FOX drone team on US side.

New video shows a massive train loaded with illegal migrants headed for the US border.

10K illegals and still counting crossing into Eagle Pass, Tx.

A second person has drowned while trying to enter the US illegally in Eagle Pass, Texas, a day after a three-year-old boy died while 10,000 migrants rushed to get into the border town.

Doocy: "What do you call it here at the White House when 10k people cross the border in a single day?"

KJP: "What do YOU call it...when GOP put forth a - wait No! - No, no, no! - I tried to answer the question. You stopped me."

New York City business leaders have asked the Biden administration to provide more federal aid and expedite work permits for asylum seekers. If asylum seekers could work, they would likely find their own housing, which would ease the burden on New York and other city governments. Businesses around the country seek more workers to fill positions. Advocates recommend policies that would provide a more comprehensive solution amid an historic refugee crisis that analysts consider unlikely to be addressed through enforcement-only policies.

There are different solutions to this problem such as the above and asking New Yorkers to step up to sponsor and temporarily house the immigrants who do come to work or look for work.

And don't tell me the government does not own vacant buildings that can'd be reno'd quickly with a little government money? Ask Habitat for Humanity to help out - even less government money is required, they are volunteers.

Those who broke the law coming here already have a criminal record. Not a good start.

So forbes is now calling the invasion 'refugees'. From what? Their own failure at self governing? Economic pressure?

Is every poor person on the planet now called a 'refugee'?????

Well, we have alot of natural born American refugees then. Where should they go?

You want families, living in one of the most expensive cities in the country to live in, to take in MORE mouths to feed and take care of? Seems logical

Why are we going through so much to help these people who, came here illegally to begin with, before we even help those that are needing help in the country already?

To do the same type of work as the refugees are willing to take? Unlikely, seems natural born Americans won't do menial work, hmm?

If New Yorkers step up to take in these refugees, who are you to say otherwise?

I know it's hard for some here to understand why some people want to help others in the world but try.

That was for legal immigrants. Now that the Democrats have chosen to ignore the law, we have a problem.

If they want to step up and do that, whatever, they are allowed to do as they please. But the concept of asking them to do so is a little more than overstepping boundaries.

How do you not see anything wrong with leaving Us citizens out on the street and taking care of a some illegal "refugee"?

Why should we take care of the people fleeing a failed state before our own citizens?

What's your address? I'll make sure the next bus full of illegals, bringing disease and god knows what else, comes straight to your front door. Don't be a hypocrite, take them all in and give them everything they ask for and anything they need.

Programs are already in place for natural born Americans, isn't it named welfare?

Anyway, this sponsoring of refugees from around the world is taking off, big time.

The U.S. has a strong tradition of welcoming newcomers and refugees. In the past year alone, we have seen Americans step up to welcome our Afghan allies, Ukrainians fleeing war, and people from our own hemisphere who are seeking safety, including Venezuelans, Haitians, Cubans, and Nicaraguans.

With the launch of the Welcome Corps, the U.S. government is making it possible for Americans to sponsor refugees from all around the world.

Welfare only applies to those with children under the age of 18.

I ask again, why are we so keen to help people coming into our country illegally, before we help those in our country that need it?

What message does that send to those that need the help that are here already?

I heard a report last night from a contract employee with ICE. His job is to deliver unaccompanied minors to their 'sponsors'. He finally could not take it any more. The stories he told of this sponsorship program are horrendous. He is now coming forward as a whistleblower.

There is a new program which I hope can prepare sponsors to understand the unique challenges refugees face, such as trauma, language, culture etc. It appears a lot needs to be looked at.

How naive are you? Many of these children are being trafficed for sex and labor or for the benefit $$. Sponsors are often not altruistic at all. They dont care. Why do you think this system will be better for children than the foster system is. Probably even LESS investigation into where they are going.

You can put lipstick on a pig with all these 'programs', it's still a pig.

Well this new program seems to be run by church groups and community groups, perhaps there will be a different kind of oversight maybe not. If you think any child would have fared better left in their own country then it is you who is naive.
