What crime? I didn't see the police anywhere around, did you? It's private property. They have the right to refuse entrance to anyone for prior behavior and abuses.

If they were going to ban him for previous days (maybe they did and its not covered) events why didnt they do it when he was last escorted out and then when they approached him say we told you not to come back you have to leave.

It looks like they were hassling him purely because they were annoyed at best, or they thought he might preach again and wanted him gone before that. (pre-crime)

Since you support the security guards (cause I doubt its company policy to kick people over a religious shirt) kicking somebody out when they havent done a thing (on the day they kicked him out), that doesnt speak very well of your love, compassion and tolerance.

What’s ironic is if this had happened in California he would have been in his rights to wear that shirt:

Interesting read:

States Speak Out on Free Speech in Malls
By Samuel H. Weissbard, JD, and Camellia K. Schuk, JD |

Link

“In a 1979 decision, the California Supreme Court held that free speech was protected under the California Constitution even on privately owned property and without the involvement of state action in Robins v. Pruneyard Shopping Center. The case involved a large shopping center. The plaintiffs were high school students who had set up a card table in the corner of the center’s central courtyard to seek support to oppose a U.N. resolution.

In reaching its decision that the plaintiffs’ rights to free expression under the California Constitution outweighed the protected private-property rights of the center’s owner, the California Supreme Court placed significant emphasis on the role of suburban shopping centers in modern life. It found that the suburban mall had supplanted the typical downtown business district as an area of public gathering and activities.

California’s Supreme Court also noted that through advertising and "the lure of a congenial environment," people were induced to shop, seek entertainment, and mix with others at the shopping center. Subsequent California decisions have clarified that the private property involved must be open to the public to attract patrons not only to shop but also to congregate on the property.”

I would consider the back of his shirt a religious slur to non-Christian beliefs.

Would a ‘Black is beautiful’ T-shirt be a racial slur against every other race?

Lots of stuff can be pulled from history.

I'm not so sure about that, because the mall security guards mentioned that he was determined to be soliciting and that is a tricky subject within the law.

I guess artistic variation is acceptable but I would gather not highly recognized as "official"!

Either way...it's the mall...wear whatever you feel like! If the guy's shirt was truly the reason (and that is undetermined) then it's a dumb reason!

Yea I am not talking about Michigan. In California if you wear a religious t shirt in a mall the California State Supreme Court has determined in 1979 you are exercising your 1st amendment rights of freedom of religion. Soliciting is when someone comes to your door to try to sell you something.

Jesus IS FREE bro so how is that soliciting? And it’s not advertising or soliciting.

Look up soliciting from legal sources, there are all kinds and ways to get it done.

There's a bitchy Muslim woman who works at the local grocery store. Maybe I should complain to management that her hijab offends me.

I don't think I'd get very far because the discrimination these days is against anything white and Christian. They don't hide it.

It's all about hating on whitey.

Well, according to the "clip", the guy had shown up several days in a row, and was loudly preaching at shoppers, which caused numerous complaints from venders and shoppers, and they had to remove him, several days in a row. The guy keeps saying that he hasn't said anything "today". The security guard says, and I paraphrase, "Okay take off your shirt then, and we'll be fine.", but the guy wouldn't.

This puts the story in a different light if true, but instead of asking him to remove his shirt, they should have asked him not to preach on the premises, and if he didn't comply, remove him. Making a big deal out of the shirt after several days puts the actions of security in question. I don't think we're getting the whole story.

Also by that security guards logic it’s safe to assume that I can demand all yamikas and hijabs be removed in the mall as well since I am “offended”

If you believe in equal application of the law and you are for removing this man’s “ JESUS SAVES SHIRT” then you also have to agree in removing all religious attire from patrons of the mall if anyone complains or is so offended by the religious attire.

So a ‘Jesus Saves’ shirt is a slur against every other religion, but a shirt promoting one race isn’t a slur?
Might want to check what is stretching.

Looks like you think preaching is a crime. Trespassing is a crime.

But...he dint do noffin.......yet.........today.......

My love, compassion and tolerance aren't the topic of this thread. The wanna be preacher's behavior is.
