While it would usually make no sense to try and smuggle radioactive material through UK airports, I forgot that this delivery occured (deliberately timed, or otherwise) when Border Force and similar were on strike and checks were at minimum.

Will do a bit of sleuthing and see if/when DSMA notices or press embargoes were issued; but I imagine if it was a 'staged' event the Government wouldn't have asked for release to be delayed and would have used it to promote anti-strike laws/undermine public support for strikes.
