Longtime member here who reads often but seldom comments, especially with how much political pandering and bickering goes on here.
It didn't take long for the anti-vax crowd to show their heads last night. And it was despicable. Before the man had even gotten into the ambulance I was already seeing it online. Talk about a complete lack of class. There is legitimate concern when it comes to the vaccine, but there is also this complete overreaction to blame just about every death or ailment on it as well.
Now I'm seeing absurd comments on here discounting the notion that his cardiac arrest could have been the result of a hit because he possibly had a thin layer of padding on, or because he stood up immediately after. Just look at the case of Chuck Hughes, the only NFL player to die during a game. He took a big hit, got up and continued until collapsing 3 plays later while clutching his chest. It may not have been the same exact injury, but it is an example of the results of catastrophic injuries not being immediately apparent. The fact that an extremely healthy and in-shape individual would bounce back up from a big hit as they have been doing half their life, only to then succumb to cardiac arrest, does not mean it was the result of a vaccine.
For anyone to speculate such in the absence of ANY evidence is an insult to Damar Hamlin and his family. Some people really need to get a life, remove the tinfoil hat and leave their mother's basement. I suppose Anne Heche died from the vaccine rather than being drunk and high and crashing into a house, right?

So if you don't have proof that Hamlin was diagnosed with myocarditis, let alone proof it wasn't a preexisting condition, then what does your post have to do with the OP?

Yes, he BROKE HIS NECK because he took of his protection and crashed. I watched it live he wasn't ready when the flag dropped and when he crashed he didn't stay in his seat properly . A tragedy blamed on Sterlin Marlin for being the one who tapped in to start the wreck.
What protection did he take off?
Completely agree Marlin was not at fault though. Common racing accident.

MSM is starting to politicize this !! Can't imagine why ? 😎
They should look at the upsurge in Basketball and Football "heart emergencies" during practices and games, post 2020. (I just did. Holy crap.)
But they won't, for obvious reasons.
But I guarantee you, college and professional basketball and football players were aware of the Covid-19 vaccine dangers before yesterday. All high-intensity sports athletes are aware.
ESPN commentators too. You could tell by their reactions last night.
The "Ohhh shi't" way they looked at each other.

I just read there isn't a date that this game will resume. The NFL announced it will not be this week.
I really hope they screen everyone of any health issues before they resume. A poster above mentioned the heart isn't screened, I'm not sure if this is true or not but it should start immediately.
This isn't exactly the same but still frightening this is happening to football players. How many other cases are just not big enough names to even mention?
Cardinals DE J.J. Watt says his heart was shocked back into rhythm on Thursday
Researchers found that although acute myocardial infarction deaths during the pandemic increased across all age groups, the relative rise was most significant for the youngest group, ages 25 to 44.
Researchers found that although acute myocardial infarction deaths during the pandemic increased across all age groups, the relative rise was most significant for the youngest group, ages 25 to 44. The research team members say they have long known that infections such as the flu can increase risk for heart disease and heart attack, but the sharp rise in heart attack deaths is like nothing seen before.
“The difference is likely due to a combination of stress and inflammation, arising from predisposing factors and the way this virus biologically interacts with the cardiovascular system.”
