"With 200M unused doses, AstraZeneca's COVID vaccine partner Serum Institute halts production. About 200 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine are gathering dust in warehouses of the world's largest vaccine manufacturer as global demand ebbs."

"The Serum Institute of India (SII) is yet to resume the manufacture of Covishield after putting it on hold in December 2021 as 100 million doses of the vaccine have already expired, the Pune-based firm claimed."

Halting production because demand has dropped isn't the same as what the OP was claiming.

Honestly it seems to me it is still approved and being used with a different label. I could be wrong but it really makes no difference to the point I was actually making.

Many people wouldn't choose to take AZ......they know about Lisa Shaw.
I wonder how many of them would be ok with Vaxzevria?

Who knows but there is this dated Dec. 26, 2022:

Five vaccines are currently being administered in India for different age groups. These are Covishield, Covaxin, Corbevax, Sputnik V and Covovax. Covishield and Covaxin are also being administered as booster, while last week during the review meetings, a decision was taken to roll out Bharat Biotech’s nasal vaccine iNCOVACC as a booster dose.

It's futile to arguing along these lines.

Instead of arguing semantics and making nonsensical claims it's better if you come into terms with the topic of this thread i.e that young and healthy people have died as a result of potentially hazardous products that have been rebranded as vaccines.

The Astrazeneca vaccine is an example of a failed vaccine which stopped being used.

Nowhere a word about the Astrazeneca vaccine in your quote above.

You forgot what the OP is in your attempts to apologise for the failure of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The case features a young and healthy adult who has died as a result of the Pfizer vaccine as the autopsy has shown.

You may have confused the threads a little. In my other thread a family is taking legal action as their son died due to the Astrazeneca vaccine which has dissapeared from the country that has created it and several other countries that used it.

All I said was that it was still available in some places, contrary to your claim that it was pulled from "the market".

The quote speaks for itself.

It also seems like dated info since the article from a couple days ago says it is still available.

It's a shame that the links (the last two) you provided are darn near unreadable (unreadable for me personally).
Pop ups keep blocking the text.

I would love to see a link that is readable, if you could manage to find one?

They aren't currently making them according to the video on that page.

But they are offering the ones in stock for free.....they say they can put labels on them and ship them.

It also says they may start making it again in March.

Well, the original question you made was about who was still using them. Whether they are old stock or fresh batches, there is an example of one country that is still using them.

Yeah, and the answer was "the same place". Still you originally asked where it was still being used and you also found that the ones making it before have plans to start back up.

The point was that the AZ vax is still in use and not off "the market" like the OP claimed.

They can't give it away........

The article I linked said they are giving away 2 crore or 20 million doses.

So, still in use there even if not freshly made. Either way not pulled from the market world wide.

Not sure why you are harping on about this.

Offering to give it away to the government.....
Who is actually taking the injections though?

The video on the page was promoting another vaccine at the end.....saying that Covovax was better.

Makes no difference when the point was basically that the OP was wrong about it being pulled off of "the market" because of adverse reactions.
