Well I don't know about all of you but we have been freezing our you know whats here in South Carolina since last week. It was 29 degrees near Columbia yesterday and right now its 40 degrees. Its supposed to get into the low teens this Saturday.

I began hearing about this monster of a snowstorm across the USA on Sunday. Some weathermen are now using the word "generational" storm.

So its just in time for Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ. So the greens over at CNN are stating "in nearly 40 years". That's back to 1982 and Al Gore along with the CO2 green machine wasn't being amped up yet.

So why now cometh in 2022? Is it a sign from God? A welcome to the USA event for those millions of illegals? Is it caused by excess CO2 in our atmosphere or just what goes around comes around. I also read that many farmers across the USA were hurt this year do to drought so this may possibly bring some balance back to the water tables across many states.

Reco rd low water levels on the Mississippi River in 2022 show how climate change is altering large rivers

So back to the storm event:

Arctic blast this week brings the coldest Christmas in nearly 40 years for millions

A holiday storm set to impact millions The cold air will allow for a major winter storm to develop, bringing significant impacts to the central and eastern US which could wreck any holiday travel plans this week. This big winter storm will take shape beginning on Tuesday, bringing heavy snow, strong winds – both of which could lead to blizzard conditions – rain, and even colder temperatures to follow. The snow will begin across the Rockies and amplify as it approaches the Midwest, where the biggest impacts from the storm will be felt. Snow will begin for this region Thursday evening and last through much of the Christmas weekend. Heavy snow will fall across much of the Midwest and extend as far south as the Lower Mississippi Valley – where we could see snow flurries as far south as Jackson, Mississippi.

2022 has been a wild year for temperature swings both hot and cold.

Whatever the reason and I blame Nature and the fact we are mere amoebas on a rock hurtling through space at neck braking speed, it has nothing to do with an invisible, sky man. You are safe there.

So those are Fahrenheits ? In Christmas we are having -15C and it is about 5 Fahrenheits. It is not freezing cold either. What freezing cold is ? when we are talking about -43C it´s -45.4 Fahrenheits and all warmer than that is copeable.

Freezing cold is temperatures below 0c (32f) - you know, the temperatures at which water freezes

And how cold temps feel are largely down to how cold you normally get. For example, here in England last week I recorded -11.4c which for some people may not seem very severe, but it was the coldest it's been for 12 years.

It's about to get all kinds of fun here in Ky. We have a storm coming Thursday that'll bring 2 - 4 inches of rain and snow. The high temp is 45 for the day and you'd think "Meh, it'll melt" BUT then the temp drops to - 6 and the high for Friday is 6 with the temp not getting over 21 for several days. So...with the rain and snow melt, we get lots of ice on the roads and power lines.

Good times.

Those constant solar storms at the beginning of the year that had wild high temps and water evaporation in bodies of fresh water across the globe this year...

Stay safe all!
Between massive amounts of snow and wind, the worst thing could be the flash freeze, turning rain-drenched areas to ice rinks.

If you're facing 9"+ of snow this weekend rush out now get a ladder and snow shovel, get ready to post craigslist service ads for rooftop snow removal for upwards of $100 per hour.

Oh and get a sled before they sell out!

Down here in Louisiana, it's getting down to 10° with 15-25 mph winds and gusts up to 40 mph, so I'd assume the wind chill will be 15° to 20° colder. Hope everyone in the South leaves their faucets dripping and brings their animals inside.

COPEABLE????? 40°F is barely tolerable here because of the humidity. Really anything below 50°F will sink deep into your bones in minutes. You must be one of those guys/girls I see jumping into lakes and rivers in subzero temps. Lol, noooooo thank you!

Where I'm at, we got back to back winter storms last year and they dumped a lot of snow and ice on the ground. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING was shut down for an entire week. We're not geared for weather like that. We don't have snow shovels, snow plows, salt trucks, etc., we were stuck. There were people riding Polaris Side by Sides down the interstates lol.

Wild temperature swings—both hot and cold are pretty much the definition of climate change.

Because the polar regions are warming faster than the lower latitudes the polar vortex is weaker in the Winter, allowing cold air from the Arctic to flow further Southward. In the Summer, the added heat in the Tropics causes the boundary of the Hadley cell circulation to shift Northward, which is why places like England, Northern Europe, and British Columbia suddenly find themselves sitting under heat domes in July.

This is what the global circulation models predict and what we are seeing.

As if the teachers give two spits about the kids there. I'm surprised they had to go this week. My buddy lives in Chicago and he lost count on how many days his two kids missed between teacher strikes and one of his kids potentially being around someone who might have been around another who might have come in contact with another kid who might have had covid.

Ummm...I know what your speaking to...Here in the snow belt of northern NY...a number of years ago it was -40F for over a month...it usually gets down there in February...but these current temps of 20 degrees F are normal and only a slight inconvenience...

A month ago we had our first snow of the season...all four feet of it...we just did what we always do...cleared it and went about our business as usual...

That's correct, and none of it has anything to do with fossil fuels and cows farting. This is exactly what Earth's climate has been doing for billions of years and, quite frankly, I find it appalling that a common guy from a small town in NW Louisiana has the common sense to understand that while people who went to school to become scientists are too damn dumb to see it.

With 50 MPH+ it could get real interesting!! Here in Southwest Michigan they are calling for about 2 feet of the stuff.

Ummm...actually...it has more to do with the jet stream and 3 consecutive la nina and ocean currents bringing the warmer southern latitude waters north...

But yeah...weather...
