Please note this isn't the Mud Pit.
Because the Republicans failed to vet their candidate there's a good chance their thin majority will become even thinner if Santos is deemed ineligible to hold office.

It's the job of his own Party to vet him. The fact that he seemingly doesn't reside at the address he listed certainly calls into question his eligibility to hold office. What if it turns out he doesn't even reside in the district where he was elected?

Brazil has announced that are re-opening a fraud case against Santos from 2008. Apparently the case has been on hold because they could not locate Santos.

So, Santos has admitted to "embellishing his resume." (His words.) Among other things, Santos has been called out due not having Jewish ancestry despite claiming to be Jewish on the campaign trail. His response was that he actually meant he was Jew-ish.
More interesting is the fact that, despite his claims, Santos was not wealthy. In fact, he was only making ~$50,000 a year and had a history of struggling to make rent payments. So with that being the case, how was he able to loan his campaign $700,000?
Based on an interview he did with Tulsi last night on Fox News, it looks like at least one faction of the GOP are trying to cut bait. Tulsi put the screws to him, called him out on his attempted deflections, and straight out asked, "Have you no shame?"
