Well, The Sarge has been recording and bing watching Hallmark for weeks already. It’s the commercials she hates.
She side-stepped into the bedroom at 4:30 am today.
Two big empty wine bottles on the kitchen counter explained it. Phew.

Me? I like the old Christmas miracle one where Jimmy ends up on the bridge. Or is it the one with the little girl and the matches?

Last Christmas was soooo long ago now.
I think I forgot…..

Getting old sucks. 😎

Christmas vacation....
Christmas story is a close second...

The worst Christmas movie is it's a wonderful life.
Damn crybaby...

And die hard is not a Christmas movie.

Ngl it would be 10x more amusing to see Bruce Willis in a bushy beard, stache and pot belly but only the bottom half of the Santa costume because that # gets hot when you're party crashing via ventilation shaft.

Here’s some heartfelt stories for the holidays…

I am currently homeless, living off unemployment insurance, and struggling to find enough to eat (where I don’t have to cook since I ain’t got no lovin on that side of things)…

Anyway, my last house enabler and I parted ways this last week. At our local bar Christmas Party she gave me my gift: An official Red Ryder carbine action 100 shot BB gun!!!

The guy next to me said that I was smiling so big like a 9 yo kid!!

Sheet, I am still amazed!!!

Sweet!!

(Not a great song but one of the best titles ever!!)

I'm not offended easily, or at all usually, but this statement might have just done it.

Don't get me wrong. Everyone has their own opinions, as wrong as they might be. However, I thank you for the contribution to the post none the less.

I will agree with you on your listing of the worst Christmas move ever, we are definitely on the same page there.

I don't know how Scrooged hasn't been mentioned yet.

Smokey Mountain Christmas with Dolly Parton was a good one too.

The new Violent Night was very good and hits you in the feels a couple times.

Bad Santa was hilarious.

Bluntone is correct, Die Hard is not a Christmas movie.

Not a Christmas movie, but a Holiday movie....
I love 'Planes, Trains, and Automobiles'.
R.I.P. John Candy.

eta: And I agree, 'Scrooged' should have made this list much sooner.

Miracle on 34th Street

The full movie is on yt.

Natalie Wood is so beautiful. Everyone is good in it.

For historians, the scene in a 1947 post office sorting mail is astounding. I believe what was left of these systems was dismantled by Postmaster General Louis DeJoy recently.

Actually I take my vote back the best Christmas films are the old early 1900s cartoons like these-

Alright everybody, this is a good natured thread to get opinions from the masses. This time of year always brings around the timeless question: What is everybody's favorite Christmas/Holiday movie?

So let's get this going. What is your favorite, or in your opinion the best Christmas movie, and why is it Die hard?

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

Can't remember the name of it and apparently it's vanished from the internet, there's a movie about a guy who meets a random dude outside a 711 with a magic lottery ticket and wishes to trade his very successful but lonely career for a family and gets his wish, for a whole year. I think the actor was John Cusack? Not exactly pulse pounding or complex story telling but still one of the best I can recall off hand. Very perspective enhancing.

For whatever bizarre reason I keep getting John Cusack confused with Nicolas Cage, the movie I recall is The Family Man.

Without reading the thread yet...

Susan Lucci as scrooge, and not bad at it surprisingly.

The adult version of a Christmas Carol, with Guy Pearce as scrooge. A bit of a twist on an old classic. Warning: It's almost 3 hours.

Strange to think "Gremlins" was initially a "Christmas movie".

Although, this was the scariest bit:
