Really not a fan of edited interviews, surely there has to be a complete transcript?

I'm searching for other sources... so far best I can find is limited at best. It seems the Economist has a monopoly on the complete interview. Still checking

FWIW if the American taxpayer had problems with financing the war and recovery of Ukraine, the mid-terms would have gone a bit differently.


Register to read the complete article, but generally, it sounds like a pitch for more funding, and I'm sure this will be addressed by congress fairly quickly.

I disagree with his point that Russia will make a push again on Kyiv, Russia couldn't take and hold Kyiv if it wanted to, but they will need another 60 billion-plus to defend

Russian mobilisation has worked. It is not true that their problems are so dire that these people will not fight. They will. A tsar tells them to go to war, and they go to war. I’ve studied the history of the two Chechen wars—it was the same. They may not be that well equipped, but they still present a problem for us. We estimate that they have a reserve of 1.2m-1.5m people… The Russians are preparing some 200,000 fresh troops. I have no doubt they will have another go at Kyiv.

You actually believe that all these billions of money from US, EU is actually really and truly going to the recovery of Ukraine?

Considering Ukraine is getting each month billions?

Remember that Hunter Biden worked in Ukraine at an Energy company there?

Don't bounce around here stay on point, this thread is about the Ukrainian general's interview, it's not about me or my thoughts on the war.

which is for the record ... Not my monkey and not my circus, my concerns were always where is all the money going and who is tracking where the arms end up. We had already seen reports of small arms being found around the Baltic black market.

and of course, its obvious politicians are profiting off the war



that said everything else as shady as it is, is nothing but what Russia and Putin were doing, and now he is upset they have been out-maneuvered by the west. That's just the reality I don't believe Ukraine, Zelenskyy, or this General.

Zelenskyy went off the deep end with the Polish missile response.

We have to remember here in the US all we have heard is Ukraine is crushing them on one hand but on the other keeping them checks coming.

The 60-plus billion aid package is more than all the EU and UK have sent combined, it's crazy and the only way it's worth it, is if was going to end it quickly it's hasn't and it isn't going too.

I'm not sure why this isn't common knowledge yet. It doesn't take much research to see the 2014 Ukraine coup that overthrew their democratically elected leader was orchestrated and funded by American NGO'S that had ties to the cia and dhs.

The American government has been doing this same thing for decades in Libya, Afghanistan, Syria(attempting), Iraq, etc. It's naive to think the same thing isn't happening in Ukraine too.

America is spending more money on the war in Ukraine than Russia, and Russia is still winning. That really should tell you everything you need to know. Russia will continue to grind down Ukraine forces and by extension American and NATO resources.

Using a $3,000,000 patriot missle to blow up a $30,000 shahed drone isn't exactly an equal exchange. Eventually the war of attrition will work out in Russia's favor, and rather than negotiating the loss of 20% of their territory Ukraine will be surrendering all of it to Russia.
