Skate Canada makes change in the name of gender diversity

Skate Canada has revised its policy to allow any two athletes, regardless of their gender identities, for domestic competition.

The first thing I thought of was the movie Blades of Glory.

Could we be seeing something like this soon?

The weird hysteria about everything having to be diverse is now in full swing and will soon collapse.
Why does everything HAVE to be diverse?
Why?
They think if it isn't, one group will somehow lose out, which isn't the case.
I mean personally they can have two gays skating, whatever, but not everything always have to be diverse. The reason is simply that the world and Nature works with the principle of majority.
Nature accidentally sometimes throws out something weird and it either sinks or swims.
Humans just force stuff together or make something important, the heck with the 99.9% or Nature, all based on feelz and human rules.

It will get worse before it gets better but meat robots can't ever win against Nature. They can win battles and lamp Nature a punch, but never the war. Nature will eventually always win against puny, mashy humans.

Who knows maybe in three generations scientist will have the first hermaphrodite that will be able to inseminate itself and carry a child.

That will end the problem with diversity for good.

It will not longer be need for male and females and it.

I liked it better when the nut jobs were the quite ones.

Skating is one of the cases where I see no problem. It wouldn't bother me to see two men dancing together at all. At this level of competition their abilities and routines should be worth watching anyhow so it breaks down to artistry which any duo can have regardless of sex. There is an amazing dance duo from here called Funkanometry that went on America's Got Talent. They manage to pull it off just fine without anyone thinking it weird, two guys dancing together.

As a kid, I thought it was all the man's strength lifting the woman but since a man just broke the record with landing a quad axle that needed incredible height to pull off, I'm sure they will do just fine.

This is where the lines blur for the unthinking masses and if same sex pairs skate together, suddenly we have to have drag queens in church like someone just posted. Maybe if she's chosen a long gown instead of a mini skirt and done it a little less flash it might have been ok. I'm not even religious and think that has gone too far. No one needs to flash their knickers in church. In and of itself it's nothing but I do find it disrespectful to other worshippers who may not be ok with it. It doesn't need to happen.

And then your realize it’s going to be another male dominated sport as many of the aerial techniques require massive upper body strength. So in order to pull off the most breath taking tricks the strongest and most a agile athletes will be sought after.

The meta will be two men.

Only possibly okay as long as it does NOT create a situation where women are no longer part of the equal playing field for competitors.

If the extra strength and stamina of biological men gives an any advantage, then this "diversity" should NEVER be allowed.

Yikes, I never thought of that. Ok, I take back everything I said.

I'm old enough to remember making fun of USSR men pretending to be female to win more gold medals in the Olympics.

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that would come to America and Europe in my lifetime.

Yet here we are.
