You're probably right...when food gets to the point where it doesn't matter how much money you have, the people that can't grow and hunt for their own will starve to death!

No they won't. With the proliferation of firearms, they will go Apache on ya'll, Look it up....

This is where we will see the true meaning of the phrase, “power in numbers”.

That also works for both sides.
I’ll still place my bets on country folks.

You know that series The Walking Dead? It wasn’t about Zombies.
I think it was really about post war torn world.
The series of events is probably similar to what would really happen.
People will turn on those nearby. “Gangs” and alliances will also form.
Then the scouting and migration will happen.

Back to Zombie films, the movie Train to Busan wasn’t about zombies either. It was about the strength of women and children overcoming war and all obstacles.

We always get Happy Eggs heritage eggs. They are soooo good. The yolks are a deep orange. Shells are blue and dark brown and harder.
So much flavour.
Then we have brunch out on a holiday or something and we stare at eachother because the eggs are so pale it's ridiculous. Like a sickly almost white yellow. And flavourless.
Such a difference.

Where we live it's suburban townhomes and apartments and then farmland nextdoor.
For us folks that live in the suburban area there is really no place to grow, we would have to do indoor growing.
The weather is too bad and there is too little space on a tiny concrete patio to try to make a greenhouse. It's not very feasible without having half of your house just boxes of dirt.

Same here. Watch the price of coffee and another couple items to get an idea what's up. No pun intended.

I'm surprised - living in a 'dairy state' - how much milk, butter and cheese is here in Washington State.

What a joke! $5.49 for a pound of butter?

$5.59 for 1/2 & 1/2?

$17.89 for a block of cheese! Ok, so it's aged extra-sharp cheddar but still! That other 'stuff' they call cheese is nothing but plastic with some salt thrown in I swear.

Thank goodness I have my own milk coming soon! That heifer is bred!

~ peace

Edit to Add: I forgot about farm grains. Don't even get me started on that! $34.00 a hundred pounds for a 'sweet cob' -which is a mix of corn, oats and molasses. It's killing me! And the chicken food is astronomical!

I went grocery shopping a few days ago. I had to laugh.
The prices are ridiculous.

A six pack of soda $8.
I saw a normal spiral ham, medium sized, it was $79
Bacon $9
Eggs were 6-9 depending on type.
Dog food is insane so we are making our own now.
Veggies and fruit were all up across the board except for oranges, they were 5 for $5
Things like spices, coffee and tea are going up exponentially.

One thing that shocked me about America, when I visited 10 years ago was just how expensive everything was, but especially groceries.

This American found out years later when visiting the UK.

The only thing Americans get cheap, is gas.
