Testosterone is a hormone and so falls under the scientific field of Chemistry, not biology. Brain chemistry and biology although linked are not the same.

According to you, not according to award-winning neuroscientists.

According to scientific fact.

You’re arguing that testosterone isn’t a chemical?

Putting the cart before the horse again.

Oh, wait -- ya mean we are presenting the wrong science?

Only chosen science is acceptable?

You’re presenting psychiatry, the study of behaviour, not biology.

The MRI and imaging data was conducted and generated by a neuroscientist. That data was then interpreted, written and published by a psychiatrist. Show me a scientific study which validates your claims. One written and published by a genuine biologist or neuroscientist in a reputable journal.

Could you be anymore disingenuous.

That is the message we aren't getting because we are stubborn, apparently.

Familiar with the concept of neuroplasticity?

If you are then it becomes a chicken/egg issue.

Correct, feelings and thoughts have nothing to do with chemistry or biology even if those fields play important roles in someone’s psychology. Psychology cannot change biology, biology can change psychology. I’m glad you now understand.

Point of order, hormones would fall under the field of Endocrinology or perhaps Organic Chemistry.

What does that have to do with default female brain in fetus and testosterone uptake amounts?

The brain is a tool that can change depending on how it's used. And I mean real, tangible changes. There are measurable changes in the brains of stroke victims around areas of the brain they have to suddenly use to compensate for areas a stroke destroys or disables for example. It doesn't mean their brain is suddenly a different brain.

I worked with kids who had specific learning disability, and our approach was based around neuroplasticity. We taught kids to notice and be aware of the movements of their mouths to make the different sounds in speech. The research around it measured real differences in the brain from before/after in both structure and usage. Part of our opening talk to kids likened the effect to building muscles that seldom get used, making them stronger and more noticeable.

So is it really that the brain is male or female or that the person using it is using the brain in those ways making it adopt those patterns of thought and structure? Chicken/egg.

I say this as a woman with a female brain who also was exposed to high amounts of testosterone in utero. Wonder why it didn't make me trans?

The neuroscience I refer to directly studies fetal brain development not neuroplasticity.

So?

Taught? As in the past?

Science does evolve.

Again, why am I not trans? If that's how it all works, I should be a little boy locked in a girl's body, but I'm not and never have been. Intead, I'm a high functioning female athlete having benefited from the physical benefits of that exposure. Like it or not testosterone is a hell of a drug, but not one that makes your brain male.

Because your brain is not wired to be female.

Not complicated really.

Apologies.
