A bipartisan group no less, isn't this a really bad idea in a couple of years full of extremely bad ideas? This kind of shows to me, since this is a lukewarm topic here in the US somehow some way they have definitely tapped into something if this is the one topic where they can get bi-partisan support. How much money, arms, and military tech is too much to send to Ukraine? Is there a cap? if not shouldn't there be?

Senators urge Biden administration to give Ukraine advanced drones

This isn’t the first time lawmakers have pushed the administration to send Ukraine advanced drones.

In September, a bipartisan group of 17 House lawmakers asked the Pentagon to speed up its review of sending either Gray Eagles or MQ-9A Reapers to Kyiv, arguing it could help Ukraine keep the territory it had recently gained.

But the Pentagon so far has declined Ukraine’s request for the drones over reported concerns that the drone’s advanced and secretive technology might fall into enemy hands.

Asked on Tuesday if giving the drones to Ukraine was still under consideration, Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh told reporters that “nothing has been decided.”

“We are always assessing and evaluating what we can send to Ukraine, but in terms of the Gray Eagles, no decision has been made,” she said. “We have to examine what impact it would have on us, and specifically for the Army, but nothing has been ruled out.”

In the letter, the senators ask Austin by the end of the month to explain the Defense Department’s reasons for not giving Ukraine Gray Eagles.

Let's be real about this.

Ignoring all reports from both Russian and western media outlets, it's a given that Ukraine cannot defeat the superior Russian military without actual NATO military support.....and NATO military support is not happening.

So instead we just keep throwing tons of taxpayer money to Ukraine which likely makes its way into the pockets of global oligarchs. We also give them weapons and equipment which either get destroyed or end up in the hands of people they weren't intended for.

BUT if you don't support the globalist narrative, you're a Russian sympathizing fascist.

Can anyone give me a legitimate reason not to let Russia just annex their territory and end all of the conflict?

I only have 10% of a reason.

Oh I did JinMi, same cast of characters is it not Graham, Manchin, Kaine, Kelly, etc. ? or are you suggesting they are moving fast because James Inhofe is on the outs?

Regardless in this situation if the Pentagon says no, then it ought to be a no-go. After all aren't they the experts here

The legislators asked Austin to explain by November 30 why the Pentagon had so far refused to provide Ukraine with MQ-1C drones.

Among the signatories were Sen. Joni Ernst (R., Iowa), Sen. James Inhofe (R., Okla.), who is the outgoing ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, Sen. Tim Kaine (D., Va.), Sen. Joe Manchin (D., W.Va.) and Sen. Mark Kelly (D., Ariz.).

Ukraine is just too 'greasy'. The whole FTX laundering scam makes the country a prime haven for all kinds of nefarious goings-on.

Those that are 'keeping the faucet open' are undoubtedly compromised and legislating out of self interest rather than sound policy.

Day in and day out theft... I wonder how these "investigations" will pan out in light of the FTX scandal? Will we confirm connections and complicity to high ranking Congressional members? Or will it just fall short?

Anyway, pop your corn, it's going to be a drama filled sh!t show for the next two years+.

Exactly, but damn isn't it bold as hell, to keep insisting when even the Pentagon is saying no? or are they doing this to placate their sponsors? Because on the outside looking in it sure isn't about placating their constituents.

Been saying this since about February 28th, the thing is there are more than 2 sides here I'm not pro-Russian or pro-Ukrainian but this sounds like escalation and putting our best drone tech in position to be captured and exploited

This most recent round of Ukranian war crimes has been rough for Ukranian support that's for sure...

Yeah, no dog in the fight for me either. Sending 'our best' technology seems like an expensive field test for the taxpayer, and a windfall for the MIC.

I really think that this bipartisan crime spree sets the tone of what's to come legislatively. All the usual players have already been placed in positions to extend, or neuter, as necessary to keep the ball rolling.

It's been looking like the Biden administration is doing everything possible to force Russia into making a move that would qualify for NATO getting involved, including false flag bombings.

I'd be interested tin seeing the RINO stock portfolios.

Putin destroys everything NATO sends to Ukraine. Drones will give him something more challenging to blow up, than aircraft in hangers.

Wait, how many Billions have we sent to them?

Has anyone hacked Bidens bank account to see what is in there?

Or the senators that voted for this?

Gotta use those drones in order for them to be destroyed in order to have to buy new ones from government military contractors.

Ever heard the saying ‘give an inch they’ll take a mile’? Because that’s exactly what’s going to happen if we just let Russia take Ukraine. It won’t just be Russia snapping at the heels of the western world either, once we’re perceived as a weak push over, there’ll be predators coming from every direction.

For better or worse the western world has to stand strong and not let Russia have that inch. It’ll be the downfall of us all if we do.

100%, give Ukraine the advanced drones, they have more than demonstrated their advanced capabilities in using the technology. If it helps to push Russia back, I am all for it.
