The Great Bird with Tiny Grimes on vocals. You thought they had 'hip hop names' only now? lol
Always was an insane fan of Parker in high school, in my jazz band and combo phase. Now getting back into him a bit.
Hope you enjoy.

Romance without finance is a nuisance
Baby, you know I need me some gold
Romance without finance just don't make sense
Mama, mama, please give up that gold
You so great and you so fine
You ain't got no money you can't be mine
It ain't no joke to be stone broke
Baby, you know I'd lie when I say
Romance without finance is a nuisance
Please please baby give me some gold
Romance without finance is a nuisance
Oh baby, I must have me some gold
Romance without finance just don't make sense
Oh baby, mama, mama, give up that gold
You so great and you so fine
You ain't got no money you can't be mine
It ain't no joke to be stone broke
Baby, you know I'd lie when I say
Romance without finance is a nuisance
I am not a huge jazz-head. More of a metal-head/rocker but I like everything. For jazz the best is the 20's through the 60s. After that it falls
off for me. Charles Mingus , Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Bird, Glen Miller, Count Basie, Annette Hanshaw, Al Bowly, Art Blakey, and the like for
jazz.
I don't like modern pop and hop hop. I like old pop and hip hop though. Obviously pop is a loaded term.
