In summary, this tactic will likely fail, for all the reasons listed in the article. The President is not an officer of the USA. He or she is ELECTED, making the President neither military nor civilian. So therefore even if it somewhat succeeded at first, it would fail right there.

So Democrats had better put their energies into finding somebody that can challenge Republicans in 2024 rather than wasting their time on this BS.

The recent revelation that two party voters will vote for a dead guy so long as "their" team wins, that notion is out the window. We're too far gone now from two party mentality running amok for so long. That's the great challenge our society faces, not which specific person becomes a candidate.

I believe the count is hovering around zero.

I think that since Donald Trump is now a running candidate that "that" would certainly come under tampering with an election. Oh, they will throw the insurrection thing up in the air, but we all know why Trump was cancelled from Twitter, immediately after telling the people to go to the capital patriotically and peacefully. So where is the insurrection in that? And a Twitter cancel, to hide a non-insurrection on the part of the president, is another thing that needs added to that list of Democrat Election tampering, they were messing with the system straight out of the gate.

Honestly the Republicans may be better served to get a different candidate off the ground soon, seeing as Trump is going to get sidetracked AGAIN from trying to get anything done with legal issues- ESPECIALLY if an indictment comes down. Not crazy about DeSantis, but he has already polled higher than Trump in at least four states, last I saw. I wouldn't mind seeing Rand Paul run, myself- considering he'd at least have his dad he could ask for advice. And if there's anyone I would trust as an advisor to the President on constitutional issues, it most certainly would be Dr. No.

But I digress. The point here with this thread is: don't even bother Dems with the 14th approach- you're wasting your time.
