I enjoy watching the world burn due to our weakness and stupidity.

Speak for yourself.
I`m not weak or stupid

Maybe I was not clear here Red. I did not suggest that Musk was being saviorish, rather I suggested that BELIEVING he is doing it for to save or promote free speech is saviorish, that is looking for a savior for free speech because he IS seeking a profit for himself. And if he can do that with whatever degree of the illusion of free speech he can get away with, he will. If that free speech starts to get in the way of his bottom line, then guess which will be the firs to go.

Musk claims to be reorganizing Twitter to promote free speech. I have no information he does not have that intention. Therefore it would be presumptuous of me to claim different. It would also be naive of me to think Musk is not expecting to make a profit. There is no reason he cannot be interested in both; they are not mutually exclusive.

As to which would "go first" should they conflict, I have no doubt it would be speech. I'm not stupid. But I also do not believe the world is so screwed that people will actually support a business which seeks to silence them and not support a business which seeks to empower them. If so, we are so far gone nothing else really matters. We might as well all go back to jungle law, kill or be killed.

I am also not looking for a savior. I already have a Savior. Your explanation doesn't make the accusation any less offensive; it only shows your own deep-seated insecurities to think that anyone who gives another person the benefit of the doubt must somehow be looking for a "savior."

You insult my faith, my Lord and Savior, and my very way of life. For someone who has in the past come down on the side of being tolerant and not insulting to others, someone who has admonished others for being insensitive and/or intolerant, you certainly do change quickly when the shoe is on the other foot.

I wanted to re-post what I wrote in the other Twitter thread since this one seems to be getting more action.

It’s my experience working for Federal government contractors and working in the private sector that this old saying is definitely true and is true for Twitter as well:

“ 80% of the work is done by 20% of your employees”

Which means that Elon knows what he is Doing. Most large corporations are full of BS job titles that don’t do any real work..i.e consulting, project manager, program manager, most of HR depts, and anyone who all they do in management is send motivation corporatese Emails with lots of corporate buzz words like , circle back, synergy, silos, governance, stake holders , blah blah blah. Then u get those same managers that recommend all kinds of woke books to read and LinkedIn classes about equity and inclusiveness and diversity At the bottom of the emails
These middle managers are absolutely worthless with the garbage woke emails that are like word salads in an email and I am so busy I don’t have time to read anyway.
These are the people at Twitter that need to go and provide no real value to the company.

Real leaders come and talk to the troops that are on the front lines on a daily basis. The best manager I ever had simply came and talked to me at my desk on a regular basis instead of sending stupid motivational emails about synergy.

Twitter will run just fine with no hiccups and all the people that quit or were let go had bad attitudes anyways and probably didn’t contribute much to the bottom line.

If you can’t tell your manager in 5 min how much you have saved the company or how much the company is getting in return for their investment in you then you better start looking for a job or work for a non profit.

Red, as you have taken that one word as an insult I need state that such was not my intent nor even and inclination. I might have more appropriately made up the word ''saviorish'' with no capital as I can suppose that that makes it merely an adjective rather than an honorific. I might better have used a term such as '' saved by the cavalry'' that last minute charge that saves the day.

I had just finished reading a link offered to me by member Karl and had found it synchronous with my developing thoughts and likely referenced that quote a short time later in that reply. Here it is

Elon Musk is a WEF Young Global Leader and a self-promoting charlatan who would have amounted to absolutely nothing without unrelenting support from government and his globalist pals, and he is the next white hat saviour that is being set up to mislead the masses with their next hopium fix.

I hope this allows you a better understanding of my inadequate writings.

So, as another member has asked me for evidence of my opinion, let me ask you for evidence of your's ok?

What evidence do you have that any of those employees, or rather most of those employees orchestrated censorship? Some higher ups, sure, put he laid off half the workforce did he not? So say maybe 5% of the workforce makes decisions and lays them down for the rest to abide by. That leaves 45% of the workforce that was laid off not because of their performance but merely for the cost cutting Musk felt necessary, right? That's simple capitalism 101, cut the workforce to get higher profit.

Then he sends out a memo which basically says, pledge allegiance to me and my new agenda or take a hike. So what do many of them do? They take a hike.

So what we see, or at least, what I see, is a rich guy, buying a business for $44,000,000,000, a business he has no experience in running, makes drastic changes and demands total loyalty to his agenda which if nothing else has an appearance of maybe driving the entire thing into the ground after putting all those people out of work and possibly ALL of the people out of work if the business fails completely.

Yes he can do it if he wants. It's his now. And it's not that I like twitter. I"ve never used it or intend to, so it's no skin off my nose what he does with it. It came, it had it's time, and it will go, either now or later. I" m just saying that demonaizing all those workers seems a bit much to me.

Elon Musk’s Twitter Teeters on the Edge After Another 1,200 Leave

One team known as Twitter Command Center, a 20-person organization crucial to preventing outages and technology failures during high-traffic events, had multiple people from around the world resign, two former employees said. The “core services” team, which handles computing architecture, was cut to four people from more than 100

Yeah it's all over the news. The guy is a toxic CEO. The employees have a choice to not work for Elon if they don't like his style of leadership or changes he's made. Looks like many have made that choice.

What an irony!

NBC the left-wing broadcaster and a champion of propaganda now complaining for the lack of free speech on twitter!

It wasn't complaining for the lack of free speech when several accounts were suspended or banned because they were questioning the narrative in regards to Covid and the vaccines.

And I don't remember them complaining when several accounts were banned because they had the audacity to state basic facts in human biology by arguing that transwomen are still men and will always be men.

Don't watch the NBC. They are morally bankrupt
