Hello, I am Maxmars, and I'm sort of new...

You might notice that I am not 'technically' a new user.

But I have been gone for long while; and I only returned to active membership very recently.

I would like to reintroduce myself to the ATS community.

No, don't be concerned, I'm not issuing challenges to any 'sides' (although I love a good debate,) nor am I interested in anything other than to make ATS better for all of us - me included.

I like virtually all subjects. I'd like to speak with you all, on any topic.

My goal in communicating here is simple; respectful exposition, dispassionate analysis, elevating context, leave with a smile. (I have been known to rail against the machine from time to time - but I try to never personalize targets... and I never shoot the messenger.)

I am not inclined to angst, subjugation, disdain, or obfuscation. I feel that those practices are antithetical to the point of actually being a member of a community.

I believe that every time we log in here, we enjoy an opportunity to elevate the conversation, to expand the view of the world around us.

I hope we will cross paths and can help each other get the satisfaction that comes with a good exchange of words.

Hmmm... I use to know someone that went by that Moniker, he was a pretty cool and decent person that always had the most interesting threads and posts.
